You are such an inspiration! I love how you are on top of everything. Watching your videos has helped me so much. If ever you get the chance, I would love to see a video on which life skills you teach your children and how you teach them, i.e. tidying up, finances, etc.
I love your DITL videos 👍🏼👍🏼 I am excited to try our Mel’s Chemistry 🧪 My son asked the other day “Hey, Mom can we do some Chemistry?” And now I know just what to do 👍🏼 Thanks Ashlee!
Yes, I’ve been noticing your increased number of videos, specifically day in the life’s. Loved the science clips- I have a daughter that loves science, especially experiments. So fun! One thing that popped out for me was you did your workout BEFORE dishes. I need to follow that example! I’m always trying to check all the boxes before I take the time for myself, and many times, household tasks override my workout. Housework will wait for me. Great reminder.
Always love your day in the life videos and I have to ask bc every time I see this one pop up I love your graphic tee. Would you mind sharing where you got it please? 💕
Love Heidi St. John. Really enjoy these videos. As a fellow homeschool mom it’s fun to see what other people’s homeschool days look like. Ours look similar to yours! 😀 Thanks for sharing!
Never thought we'd be saying things like, "You're so lucky being able to go inside your library WITH your kids and allowing them to choose books", but here we are. I haven't been inside my library in a year. but I loved your sons reactions to the science experiments. Boys seem to groove to those types of things. Love that you shared that with us.
Same here. Prior to Covid, we did 2 play groups a week at 2 different library locations in our city. That was life every week since my eldest was 6 months old (she’ll be 6 years old in a few weeks). We haven’t been in a year. We miss it so much!!!
Your kids are so blessed to have you for a mama! Have you always been so on top of things? Great schedule and you always seem to have everything under control. I would love to be that put together- but I guess it is something to strive for. You are a gifted homeschooling mom for sure.
Fun DITL! Will definitely be checking out these Science Kits. Science experiments are my struggle as a homeschooling Mom. And LOVE Heidi St. John, too. I listen to her almost daily.
Oh man it's great you all can go browse in the library! Ours are still pickup only with a small limit on the number of books and they have to be returned weekly. 😕 Looking forward to the end of April when they're HOPING they will be able to open for browsing by appointment.
Your built bar ads finally got the best of me and I decided to give them a try. The came today and 😍 they are so good! Tastes like a 3 musketeers. I’m not a protein bar person by any means but these god me hooked. Can’t wait to try the other flavors!
I will have to go check out Mel Science. The most frustrating thing about experiments is you soend time/money gathering the supplies then they don't work.
Hi! Could you recommend books/book series for a 7 1/2 year old girl? She’s reads at a level 4/5. I’ve been struggling to find books that are good. I have tried many recommendations from friends but the language of the children in these stories is not something I would like her reading 😞 thank you for helping us!
Taking your kids to the library is a great idea!:) my daughter is only five and my son is almost three .. how old were your kids when you started doing science experiments with them ?? Btw, did you teach your kids how to read?? What curriculum did you use?? What would you recommend??
I love that your sixteen year old, looks like a sixteen year old! Not loaded with makeup or wearing inappropriate clothing. I see so many girls behaving way beyond their years and it just makes me sad. Let kids be kids!
Random question. How many days a week do you do TGTB history? I am going to have a 1st and 3rd grader next year and I'm looking to switch to TGTB history 1.
I saw all of your children were using tablets or doing screen work while doing their independent work. Can you pls share what online curriculum you use? Thank you!
They all use them for different things. I think pictured in this video was my youngest doing a typing lesson from tgatb. That’s not an online program. My son was doing math. He uses teaching textbooks. And my oldest was taking her Spanish class on BJU
We're in Vancouver where Heidi St. John is (from the podcast your shared 😊). We really enjoy being part of the Firmly Planted Homeschool Resource Center she set up.
My son is 6 and repeating kindergarten after public refused to allow him to be held back. My daughter will be five in may and it’s horrible trying to get my daughter involved. I try to let her color and do art but it just distracts my son. I’m hoping she will mature a little by September so I can start her on k😊 thank you so much for the inspiration!
