Super Informative video 👏 ,it’s really interesting seeing what it is looking like being a PT in skilled nursing setting,,more videos like this please🤩🤩
Loved this video! Am a doctor but work in psychiatry lol so not super related. I just love to see the other disciplines, and I came back around to the vlogs when Vegas joined❤🐾 I am in PT myself for LBP, likely exacerbated bulging discs w sx primarily on the R, BL moderate- severe sacroilitis, IT band syndrome on the R and trochanteric bursitis on the R. Also have no paresthesias or pain that shoots down my leg. Just pain when sleeping that bothers my hip and then my knee on stairs. I understand if you don’t want to comment on specific PT situations, but I was reading the note, and my PTA said I have antalgic gait. Of course I remember this is to compensate for a painful extremity. But I don’t feel myself walking any differently. I don’t walk like the examples I’ve seen. And my knee/hip/ITB doesn’t hurt while I walk. I don’t have a painful extremity on walking, no limp. Just maybe these are contributing to the LBP. Why would I have an antalgic gait from back pain? Thank you ❤
More like this please!! I'm also a gymnast (senior in hs) currently interested in PT or PA and Iearned a lot from this!! I enjoy these much more than your typical day in the life videos :)
I've been a follower for many years and I am beyond proud of the both of you. I was just accepted into an Equine Veterinary Nursing Bachelor's program. I already have the Veterinary Nursing program done but this is for a BS. After graduating I'm going to earn specialties in Emergency/Trauma and Surgery.
Love hearing about the ins and outs of physical therapy as an OTA student! It’s so fun hearing about things i’m learning about and hearing them come alive a little more, also being able to visualize the distinctions between OT and PT more
Along with doing a co-treat, is there anything else you might do to help reinforce weight bearing restrictions with patients who are having a harder time following them?
@@graceblondell7320 Mine is supposed to be 85%, I think Ciera's is somewhere around there. So far the only consequence has been like "hey try to meet your productivity"
I am a PT in Denmark and graduated this year in June 😅 I work a lot with neuro, stroke and dementia at the moment, so fun to watch your videos, hear your viewpoints and see how different the health care systems are!
Oh I can add I am a psychiatrist with some patients at skilled and we need good, dedicated PTs bc there is such a mind body connection IMO. I am in PT right now. OP. For my lower back, trochanteric bursitis & ITB syndrome. I’m lucky to have fantastic PT & PTAs. Just hard to find time to go once a week let alone my rx of 3x lolll
Super informative video, thanks for filming this! I have a question that may be prying a little bit, so no worries if you can’t answer, but I’ve always wondered when watching your videos how it works when you work shorter days/don’t have enough patients to fill 8 hours. I work a traditional 9-5 and am on salary, but if the amount of hours you work is dictated by the amount of patients you have to see on any given day, are you paid less if you work less hours? I guess my question is kind of turning into are you on salary or paid based on the number of hours you work in a given day/week. Again, sorry if this is too personal… Also, totally unrelated, I need that cheesecake recipe 😂 it looks so good!
