Well I mean, if person's choose to have extra children, then they deal with it. This baby now sounds like a loud one. Nothing like Grayson, Baylee.. This newborn is tempered for sure. And oh wow Idk why but I sure did expect so much more from their brand new home! It is BORING, to what I thought it would be in my mind. I thought it would blow away Magen Reeves, Lisa Blank's etc etc. The bedrooms are pretty small. And the floor looks like 70's tile or wood like tile in pantry and laundry room. C'mon guys!! You buy a brand new home- make it snazzy! 💞🔮

Co sleeping is one of the many things that are the norm in other countries and they have a much lower rate of sids or infant death in general than we do. Also as other people are commenting, it can be done in a safe way. :)

Well I did that too. Now my boy is 15 months old and sleeps alone in his bed. It was really an all of the sudden change. He pointed at his crib and wanted to sleep there. So here we are, I thought he would sleep years in our bed but no, he only needed it his first 14 months. BTW I‘m from Germany 😉

I know everyone is different but I coslept with both my kids, and me my husband our brain naturally became aware of the baby been on our bed . Never had trouble with it. Postpartum is so stressful and if you don’t get any sleep it makes it harder, specially when you already have other kids.

Cosleeping/bed sharing when done safely can be done. I coslept with both my babies and it is possible. I know it isn’t for everyone but I had babies who wanted to be near me. It’s how you get the most sleep especially breastfeeding.

Same! The only way I could get my little one to sleep was by having her next to me. Also the routine of breastfeeding her then just letting her drift off next to me made both of our lives easier.

I co slept with all 3 of my babies; and it was the best decision for us. I know I’m a very light sleeper so I trust myself completely when I sleep. It was so easy to wake up and nurse him when I would hear him start to fuss. All three of my babies would sleep almost through the night, they would wake up to nurse like 2/3 times and go back to sleep. I would sleep on my side and have my arm under him like I’m cradling him but on my side laying down, and it worked for all of them.

We still cosleep with my daughter and she's almost 4. As a baby she'd only last 30 mins max of sleeping on her own and now she lasts 2-3 hours sleeping on her own. I used to be frustrated and ashamed of it but, I saw a quote about how our babies won't need us or our cuddles one day and it made me realize that every day of cuddling them is a true blessing.❤

My son was like this. I used his crib and removed one side of the bars. I then attached it to my bed and made sure the crib-matress was the same height as my beds. I was able to lay him in there and just have my arm or head close to him.... it was that or no sleep but it worked well.

Bedsharing while breastfeeding was the only way I got any sleep when my daughter was a newborn. She bed shared with us until she was 1 and then transitioned flawlessly to her crib. It can definitely be done in a safe way. Either way, you’re doing great and you got this! This too shall pass.

@@Lydia2792 we moved to a separate room. We did the Ferber method and from the first night she slept in her room/crib no problem. She cried for maybe 30 minutes on and off but I knew she was okay and kept checking on her every 5 minutes, then the next day we continued it at her nap times. I watched Kayla Buell’s videos here on RU-vid of her doing it with her daughter and it’s what really convinced me to try Ferber.

There are a lot of new studies showing co sleeping, when done safely, is very beneficial to baby and mother. I have co slept with all 3 of mine and will be doing it again with my 4th. I hope you get rest. Your family is just beautiful. Also, Grayson looks so big now.

One thing that helped me so much was buying a bed rail off amazon and putting it on my bed so baby sleeps between me and the bedrail instead of my husband.

Yes! I hate that people think cosleeping is some sort of taboo thing. I love it and wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s also not good that people who don’t know what they don’t know, are telling others that it’s dangerous. It’s natural and that’s how mummas have slept with infants and newborns since the beginning of time.

You can definitely safely cosleep/bedshare. Look up safe sleep 7, as long as you breastfeed and side lay and feed your breathing actually regulates hers as she’s sleeping next to you.

I feel you girl, do whatever works for you and the fam. I have 4 kids, 2 are online till 3 pm and i have 2 toddlers running around the house so it’s cray! I honestly survive doing 2 hr naps when the hubby gets home and it’s seriously life! Wishing you nothing but the best and i can’t wait to see the finished home 💕

My daughter was premature, 6 lbs same as Tatum, and she really liked the green pacifiers that you can get at the hospital. The lightweight ones. Maybe it would be helpful for you. She also wore newborn clothes at this age from Target.

It will get better my 3rd baby is now 7 weeks old. I brought her bassinet right beside the bed at night and kept my hand on her tummy. Now she sleeps fine by herself with no help. Hang in there ❤️

Tara, you know your body best. If you are still bleeding and it’s more than what you have experienced in the past call your OB. You could have some retained placenta. Especially since you had the postpartum hemorrhage too.

I co-slept with my daughter till she was 1. We only had a fitted sheet on the bed, I didn’t use a pillow, and I used my own small blanket and put her on top of the blanket so that it couldn’t be pulled over her. We also used a bed rail on my side of the bed so she wasn’t between my husband and I. My midwife had 5 kids and she co-slept with all of them and encouraged safe bed sharing. Good luck with whatever you do! ❤️

Oh honey, all of my babies(3) slept between me and dad. With my first son, he just wouldn’t sleep in his crib no matter what. I could not get any sleep either. We ended up putting him between us as he/we never had no problem. Then same thing happened with my next 2 sons as well. We did it so dad and I and our baby could sleep. Once there , our babies did sleep and we never had any issues of any kind. My babies are now 17.5, 13.5, and 12.5 years old and they are perfect children and well adjusted. I am so happy for you and your absolutely gorgeous new baby girl. All of your babies are precious.

She’s so precious! Try the itzy ritzy pacis, they are slimmer. My baby wouldn’t take Bibs or MAM brand but took itzy ritzy like a champ. They are so cute too!

What about the bassinet that connects to your bed. It is open so you can still touch her but she’s not in your bed and you won’t have to worry about rolling on her?

My daughter was the same way as a newborn! She hated being put down, but also did not like being swaddled. She would scream anytime I put her down during the day (still does). She would not sleep in a bassinet or crib for more than 10 minutes without waking up crying, but if I held her she would sleep for hours. It’s so stressful and exhausting! Owlets are really reassuring when you have to snuggle them back to sleep, and knowing they will grow out of it...someday 🥴😴

If you can position the snoo next to a comfy chair, it helped a lot for me to rest my hand on my little one’s tummy. Not the most comfortable sleep position for you, but it takes the worry away and is easier to get some sound sleep.

It’s so sad that you have to tell people not to come after you for saying to look up safe co-sleeping. I have co-slept with mine since day one and it’s the only way we get sleep! I love it and wouldn’t try to force baby to sleep separate from me. But that’s just me

Cosleeping is completely and perfectly safe it’s actually been shown that it’s safer, because they regulate their breathing with yours, their body temperature stays regulated, it supports a healthy immune system, and many other things. Just think she grew inside you, felt your warmth, heard your voice, heard your heartbeat, and then to just be put by herself all alone is probably terrifying

its probably because you're warm! my 2 babies were the same way! I would put a sleeper onesie on them and then a warm sleep sack. they slept so much better and finally without me :)

My baby turned 2 today... ugh how I miss the newborn days They grow up so fast, enjoy this time with your family ❤️ I co-slept with both my children who were also breastfed. Everyone’s comfort level is different but that’s what we had to do. My kids still nap with mama sometime... I always heard or felt them move and would wake up... I still hear every little thing they do all the way down the hall lol

I feel you, my second would not let me put her down and I felt bad cos I couldn't do anything. It's really sweet that they love to cuddle. Now she sleeps through the night in her crib (since 3 months) so she'll get though it. She hated her bassinet too but likes the crib.

Hi Tara! I’m sure you’ve heard of this... but the nested bean zen sleep swaddle worked really well for us. It’s weighted so the baby feels like your hand is on their tummy and it makes them feel comfort and safe. If you haven’t tried it yet then it might be worth a shot. 😉

So I’m sure you have heard of the Nested Bean Zen Swaddle, but if not you should look into it. Many, many moms swear it is perfect for newborns who won’t sleep without being held. My nieces newborn son would not sleep unless he was being held. She had heard about the Nested Bean, ordered it and it has turned out to be the best thing ever. The first night she used the Nested Bean he slept in his bassinet. Just a thought I wanted to pass along.

Also we coslept with our daughter. I know it's scary but I could not get any sleep unless she was sleeping with us. It helped a lot while I was breastfeeding her too cause she could just roll over and latch on without much fuss

I don't understand why a lot of people are worried but maybe it's because I'm a light sleeper anyway. My cat frequently sleeps beside me under the covers and I've never rolled over on her, it's like my brain just is hyper aware that she's there so I move the other way if I need to change positions.

I wouldnt substitute the binky with breast feeding. She might not be eating enough throughout the day so is starving or uncomfortable at times as she is needing to grow and does not get a full sleep. She probably ate more often in the stomach since it was automatically ingested directly to her stomach constantly. She will slow down but thats probably why she is not taking good naps. Binkys are not really necessary.

My son was born 5 weeks early, and had a super small mouth, so we ended up buying some nanobebe binkies and he (and we) loved them. The 0-3 month size is short enough to not choke him, and a little thinker than my itzy ritzy ones that collapse, so they stay in better in the early days. Love them!!

As many others have said, I coslept with both my girls and it worked really well for us! There are a lot of safe ways to do it. Best of luck hope you get more sleep soon :)

I would get black out curtains so the room is much darker when she’s napping during the day! My girls had to be in a SUPER dark room to nap. If she’s not napping and getting overtired- even at such a young age, that will keep her up at night too! Bless your heart! Hoping you get sleep soon 🖤

My son loves the mam pacis I don’t know if you’ve tried them before they seem to stay in the babies mouth longer. Also I know the day time nap cuddles are the best but what I was told is to put them in their bassinet during the day to get them used to it even if they hate it at first hopefully she’ll slowly get used to it. Hope you get some sleep mama. Sleep deprivation is the worst

My youngest son would only sleep on top of me on his tummy. The first couple of months were rough. He’s almost 6 months old now and sleeps on his back in his crib, thank God!🙏🏼😂hang in there mama!
