I think I made the wrong choice to attend grad school 10 years ago... Teaching English in Thailand was my alternative choice, after spending a month there and falling in love with it. Now I'm in major debt, and typically stressed out a fair majority of the time. Sure, my job has higher pay, but... I'm in a whole lot of debt. And, stressed.
I've been to Thailand three times. I currently work at a steel mill near Pittsburgh. I earn about $80,000 per year gross. I had thought about teaching in Thailand
Did you end up making the move😅? I’m joining really-really soon, lol ticket is booked (that’s just how I operate and it works for me, I did the same with Vietnam) and also looking for groups for expats. ❤
Hi Daniel, great question! Thailand is one of the many countries in Asia that has official retirement age between 55-60, and so schools will not sponsor work visas for those in that age range or above due to those policies. You can find more information on that along with other requirements here on our site: www.internationalteflacademy.com/blog/requirements-for-teaching-english-in-thailand
@@laura_F_ oh wow really I would love but I just feel so depressed at minute I can't find the strength to do something like that. I have even given up hope and decided I want to be left alone in my sad life
