If you go to Railay try to film the giant bats (flying foxes?) coming out of the caves at dusk by the tens of thousands. It is one of the most epic things I have ever witnessed in person but I only had a gopro so I couldn't capture it on film. Since you seem to have a proper camera you might be able to get a good shot.

Note to viewers. National Park entry (if you can't get in for Thai price with a Thai Drivers Licence), is 400THB per day ($13USD/11Euro). You should be able to show your receipt to any other national park you visit the same day.

great to hear the national anthem.. really brings back memories of visits to thailand, heard it most days ! Don't mind paying a little more foreigner fee - fair enough - but often it does seem a bit excessive. Hoping for Loy Krathong in Chaing Mai this year when a lot of people vaccinated. I was going to do the MHS loop this weekend but instead heading down to Railay for a week of climbing. I'm staying a couple nights in Krabi town to intentionally do this hike because of YOU. This was such a gorgeous episode! I stayed in Krabi about 15 years ago and the only thing I can really remember is chicken island. It was empty back then too. Your hike looked lush!

Loving the content keep it up. I went to Ao Nang with my wife and we too tried the hike. Got 15 min from the top and a storm rolled in we couldn't see anything. Hung around for quite a while but gave up in the end. When we got to the bottom it was all clear! Gutted because looking at this we missed somthing really special
