Day 9 - An unexpected zero at the Green Dragon. Little Bear needed time to connect with family for more than a few minutes or quick texts. Today, she had that opportunity and talked with them all day.

My daughter always had me buy her takis and those flaming hot Cheetos. My girl is now 24 and about to graduate from local richmond,va hospital's RN nursing program.

We stayed at Green Dragon. Donna and Bill are truly the best. They helped us in so many ways. I can’t recommend Green Deagon enough.

You guys are great! Really appreciate the videos and as a parent I can’t imagine how wonderful it must be to hike with your daughter. If you had the opportunity to visit Helen, Ga. It’s worth the trip while you’re in the area.

Great to hear that you were able to rest and refuel. All smart bears 🐻🐻 know a bit of hibernating does wonders for the mind and body. And the beds 🛌 were “just right”😉. The Green Dragon 🐉 looks like the perfect place to have a break. Here’s to Good food, good friends and being warm and dry. A beautiful blessing. Good morning, Bears! Looks like a nice day on the trail. I watched another video from trail days and it looked, mm, you probably made the right decision to skip it. But maybe the video was just poorly presented. I see you have a few brands of meals-in-a-bag. Which are your favorites? You are approaching Grayson Highlands, one of the most spectacular areas in VA. I can't wait to se what tou think when you get there!

Looking good guys! Little bear was definitely putting down the food there! LOL! Glad you took some time to recharge the batteries and just hang together. In my opinion, the time you two spend together is going to be the biggest long term outcome of this adventure. All the best!!

We made reservations a few weeks ago, however Mrs Donna had a family emergency and was kind enough to book us at Around The Bend. Looks like both GREAT Hostels and glad to see tgem working together. Love and Like 🥰💯🥰💯🥰

Green Dragon was $55/day/person. Shuttle, laundry, and breakfast are included.

Yes, my children have been homeschooled for the last 7 years. She is currently almost 2 years ahead in her studies. She can access her schooling online anytime she chooses as well, right from her phone. As we believe in experiential learning, the trail has been a beautiful school. 😊

@@wildflowersadventures you can tell she's been homeschooled because she's well-behaved and respectful. I bet she wasn't in daycare either. Public school and daycare are the worst things that ever happened to humanity.
