hi guys it's been a long tOm just realized that all 5 of my latest video are all world war related. eh idk if i will upload my next video since im in kind of slump rn but if i do it's probably gonna be a Squad video.
1:06 One way to do that is by removing the magazine floor plate. It has a release button that can be pushed with the tip of a bullet. Another way is to hold the bolt back with your whole hand and then top the mag of with either loose rounds or a stripper clip. It's kinda of a 3 hand job but it's not impossible and a stripper clip will hold the bolt back for you so you can grip the pistol back by the broomhandle. 2:08 They should, but oftentimes they don't as the bolt hold open is kinda fragile, either on the rifle itself or its magazines. I know some late models ommited the manual bolt hold open button, probably to simplify production. Sidenote: The M1 and M1A1 carbines are the incorrect variants, they feature adjustable rear sights and bayonet lug, those features were added in post-war models.
Technically this speed is mostly correct, the soldier is a bit calm, bit it's just the right speed for pulling out the ammo since the ammunition are in pocket and flaps held in by straps or buttons. It's not like today where they are very quick to access.
Fun fact: the animator MrBrightside, actually animated the reload animations and animations from games like insurgency, insurgency sandstorm, and day of infamy.
Yes because theres no advanced training yet in 1940s so the reload is a bit slow since most of the soldiers in ww2 is like teenagers who was not ready for war. And the slow reload does fit too since this game is more focused on realism and not another arcade shooter like Battlefield or Call of Duty. This game will make you rage. 1 bullet to the chest? Your dead.
One minor technicality that I noticed: Lee Enfield clips are commonly referred to as "chargers", not stripper clips, as they don't actually strip from the bridge when the bolt goes forward. They have to be manually removed, as demonstrated in the animation. Great video otherwise, the NWI-style reloads are always a favorite of mine!
Well, for my excuse, they are referred by ''stripper clips'' in-game. also this term is more familiar than what Lee-Enfield clips are called. Otherwse, thanks for the new fact!
i hate how slow and calm some of the reloads are like you could be in the middle of combat about to die and your character is just sitting there calmly taking 10 minutes to reload
i like the insurgency style reloads, but they're just too calm like no man in any of the situations depicted in any of these games would reload the guns that calmly and slowly
Yeah this game is cool but it should've stayed as a mod, rather than becoming it's own thing. it died of irrelevancy anyway, because they did not bother making it it's own thing rather than Insurgency: Origins. Speaking of which, can you try to review either Gmod's Customizable Weaponry or Insurgency's "The Armory" reloads?
It's completely dead now but it was alright back in the day, used to play it all the time. The game was very slow as you can probably see by these reloads, the hit detection was really bad, you died very quickly, and running around like a methed up gorilla wasn't an option like it is in CoD so most people didn't wanna play it I guess. Day Of Defeat, the first game, was more popular. I think Insurgency Sandstorm might be made by the same guys, maybe not.
M1 Garand fans: Day of Infamy, you did not make the ping sound on Garand rifle! Day of Infamy: Yes, I did not, why you ask? M1 Garand fans: IT' S THE LAW!!!
