Mark Rutland came to my church last week, and I believe I had an encounter with the Holy Spirit after one of his prayers. It's the 2nd time in my life I've had such an encounter. The first being about 15 years ago after accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior. It seems God is constantly working in our lives. Sometimes we stray away. If you stay diligent in your quest for a relationship with God, I think you will meet people who God works through to bring you closer. What's funny is i was telling my girlfriend about my first encounter, and i started crying out of nowhere(which I've never done) and I don't why. I never cry. Seek, and you shall find

Hi ❤ I just started studying Acts once again. My focus is: When the Holy Spirit comes upon you you will receive power to become My witnesses. Reading it crawling through, verse by verse under the revalaton of the Spirit 😍 I've seen that that was what happened to Peter, Steve, Filip and Paul. Their words brought people to awaken and to repententance. It fits well with the Word The Gospel is God's Power unto Salvation 😍. The Holy Spirit isn't working against God, the Lord, the Word, stat remains forever. The Spirit opens the Scriptures for he who seeks 😍❤️‍🔥👑🔥🕊

I’m really enjoying your channel after discovering it several weeks ago. I’m what I think is currently termed a classical Pentecostal raised in a solid AG church in the Dallas area. Your wide ranging theological discussions paired with being practitioners of the gifts of the Spirit is so encouraging. There’s so much more that I can say, but Thank You for engaging disparate views within the Body with humility and respect.

I've got good news for any Heresy Hunters coming in these comments. RU-vid promotes videos with more interaction in the comments. If you think you're coming to defend against false teaching, you're actually helping to promote these videos. (Let that sit on your conscience) Thanks, I love these brothers of mine.

Was listening to an old Wimber conference shared with other speakers.. and thinking, these people are clearly well grounded , underpin carefully and conservatively what they say ( which btw remains 💯 relevant) and are not , repeat not seeking adulation, approval or ( regretfully) status ....: this in stark contrast to the many who did then - and still do!

Love Mark Rutland. Enjoyed hearing him at Calvary AG in Winter Park, FL years ago. I like his bottom line--do you have all the power you want and see in Acts? I also love ROBERT MORRIS'S "DOES HE BAPTIZE?" for those who do like prepositions in order to witness to Cessationists who want proof from the Bible.

I sometimes can feel like Peter…I love to tell people about Jesus but I also fear it. I worry about the lost often, more than the usual person. Especially people who claim to be Christian but aren’t. I’ve felt like,”maybe I’m just weird? I probably shouldn’t be worried about people so much.” But I feel like this is a gift from the Lord. I know I shouldn’t be so burdened to the point of being anxious all the time. But I mean…how could we not worry about the souls of those who are perishing. That’s why I just want to tell people about the Good News. I may do it imperfectly, but man…it’s to concerning for me.

I think you need more than 40 mins for an interview, especially if the interviewers speak more than the interviewee! I dont think 'Day to Day with the Holy Spirit' was an appropriate title for this interview given what was actually talked about.

Good program. Thought-provoking. I think the Dr. is off with his understanding of Acts 19, and I say that in all humility with due respect for him and his credentials, but from the text I don't believe those disciples had been Born Again yet as evidenced by their claim they had received only the baptism of John. And I am NOT an adherent of Baptismal Regeneration. I would like to have seen that passage discussed in greater depth. Acts 8 is a bit more difficult. Particularly verses 14-17.

Is there initial evidence when a believer is Empowered to Witness by the Holy Spirit? I'm not saying that there are no exceptions to this, but I do believe that Tongues were the only Biblical evidence given in Acts chapter 10, and chapter 19. Notice there was no other evidence given. I'm not saying that there are no exceptions, but they are the exception! Do we teach the normal Biblical pattern or the exception? We must teach the Biblical pattern, and not the exception. If we did, in this day and age of doubt no one would even desire desire the true power to witness! Speaking in Tongues is a powerful weapon as well as the sign the Spirit has enabled you to boldly proclaim Christ! I served the Lord for a while without the Power of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Later on when I was Baptized with the Holy Spirit I spoke in Tongues like Acts 2, Acts 10, Acts 19 and my Boldness to Witness became a Thousand Fold!! Why? The change in boldness came only after I spoke in tongues. Amazing!! What is it that made me loose my Tongue to witness in English? I believe it was the Tongue of Fire that came with Holy Ghost tongues. I believe that one can believe in Jesus and not receive the Power to Witness. One is Born again by believing, but empowered to witness by the in-filling. Look at Acts 8, they believed and were even Water Baptized but the Holy Spirit did not fall upon them until later. Also In Acts 11, and 15, when Peter spoke about Cornelius, he said, that God put no difference between us and them, and gave them the same gift the Apostles received in Acts 2. How did they know? Their only evidence was they heard them speak in Tongues! Also, in Acts 19, Paul asked certain disciples if they received the Holy Spirit since, or when they believed? Why even ask that question if people receive the empowerment of the in-filling of the Spirit at belief?? I believe the journey of being Born again begins at belief, but there is more. Why? Because, the only normative pattern in the Book of Acts to receiving the Power of the Holy Spirit, is repentance, water Baptism, Spirit Baptism with the evidence of Tongues. I also have seen too many Christians, who served the Lord for many years, finally speak as the Spirit gave them utterance, and were transformed by boldness. Why? Also, in Acts 11, when Peter was explaining his encounter with Cornelius he said... 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. 16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Then in Acts 15, at the counsel, Peter said.., 7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Wow! Today many Churches put Differences between the Apostles and believers. But Peter says... 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9 And put NO DIFFERENCE between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. So do you agree with me? That the normal Biblical Evidence of receiving the Power of the Holy Spirit to witness is speaking in tongues? If not, In Acts 8, how did they know the Holy Spirit wasn't yet given to the Samaritans? Even though they believed and were Water Baptized. The Apostles had to come up later and lay hands on them to receive! Why??

3:45 "I came into a transformative experience that transformed my marriage and ministry" and he NEVER clearly describes how it came about in any clear way at all and doesn't even mention who was involved w/ that. Mentioned 70's charismatics so derek prince etc 7:01 dramatic explosive but he never clearly says what happened lol strange 9:10 quotes scofield bible notes from 2 acts for his cessationist argument; not exactly a scholarly source 19:01 a lot of talking. Still no direct answer on what happened? What did your "empowering experience" practically look like 20:01 "training" at ywam 32:01 brings up Brainard which is a very valid point; that nonpentecostals experienced very deep places in prayer of far far more substance than the heaven trip side show nonsense clown show of today but even beyond more greater prayer movements of more recent times w/ in pentecostalism from the d prince's etc 36:01 "receive His witness" but doesn't describe what that is??! common? at least say its a type of peace or something 39:10 "I felt Gods breath on my neck" finally something more definitive. good point 39:50 Chadwick "way of pentecost", "prove all things" "joy unspeakable" MLJ

Go back to the old...very old now....James Robison Bible conference video and hear him, Jack Hayford, Mark Rutland, Dudley Hall, John Wimber and Dudley Hall/Rick Godwin and you won't quibble over the wesleyan/classical/reformed/evangelical understanding of the issues raised on this video, you will praise God from whom all blessings....concerning the chat room in all these videos....the brother with an inferiority complex needs to get along with God and do some soul searching.....trying to strain out a gnat while swallowing camels is unhealthy and saying the same things over and over doesn't build understanding or advance our knowledge in any way...Remnant Radio is excellent
