You can use those chips at your blueprint screen that you have on your desk right inside your door, once you open the screen it's at the bottom. Deconstructing the gold chests will usually give you a super alloy and an aluminum. Some of the ships (but not all) can have stuff loose on the shelves, usually seeds I think, but it is worth looking.

You already have the Blueprint Screen So you can decode the chips, Also save Power by deconstructing the Smaller Devices and build bigger and more efficient Devices, The power from solar panels is not effected by the Sun going down which is great in this game, I have even built them in Caves and they work.

@@tarrantwolf I agree! Although if you look at the day/night cycle in the game, the night isn't too dark. There could be additional sun's around this planet....😂😂😂

Yeah i was wondering why he build all the Wind turbines they really are not worth it one solar panel produces more Power than 3 Wind Turbines. xD

I think the big storage is from th microships, which you use in the blueprint screen on the bottom right of the screen, when you have a chip on you the button appears on the screen

Tips for new people("my opinion"). 1.) Always upgrade to the next tier the jump is so massive your wasting resources keeping the lower tier items. 2.) Solar panels work on the planet during night if they didn't then the wind turbines would be 100x worse since they require an atmosphere in order to make wind. 3.) Use the blue chips on the blue print screen to decod for better items to help. 4.) Make sure to always loot chest theres a myth going around saying if you wait the loot get better it doesn't thats just from the chest respawn bug during update.

The content of blue chest levels up with you, gold chests stay the same. it pays of to search for the gold ones early game and leaving the blue ones as long as you can.

Yay more Planet Crafter! Sometimes things are on shelves but mostly just food seeds , You can read those chips if you go into the blueprint screen on table with chip in inventory look at the bottom tells you button to push to learn. You can break down the gold chests too. Your the best!

heh, always remove/replace the smaller units. they don't add much in the way of progress, and use up electricity you could be applying to bigger advanced machines.

Not sure if you knew this or not BUT 1/ You can name you chests so you know what you have in them :) Just click on the blank space near the bottom :). 2/ When the meteors come crashing down they do populate the place with iron silicon etc :) I am so glad you are playing this it is a fab game i have HOURS in this LOL. Later you will get bigger containers *Lockers type* and you can also name them as well which really helps heaps. Can't wait for the next installment !!

another little known tip I never see anyone use: When building something, ctrl+ mouse wheel will rotate 90 degree increments

don't for get about the underground bunkers and the cave that has super-alloy is about half way between the iridium cave you first entered and the river valley. however it's best to wait for the jet pack. There are server bunkers, they have removed the party bunker which was in place for the anniversary for the game. But I think you did a video on it?

Not sure why GE didn't deconstruct the Golden chest back then since that material then was rare, but they thought they needed another machine to decode the chips then so guess they forgot.

There is only one wreck that have seeds on shelfs but they usualy despown if you dont pick them up as soon as you see them (if they spawn at all)

So I double-checked and for some reason T2 drills are actually less efficient than T1 drills - 1 T2 drill uses as much energy as 10 T1 drills but only produces 75% of the pressure; all the other devices appear to make their previous version obsolete. The question is, can you afford the iron and titanium for all of those T1 drills?

I love watching you play but you will never get this planet terraformed. The updates add to what you've already achieved it never changes previous gameplay. So to see you restart from scratch means we will never see you terraform this planet. Terraforming a planet takes weeks of gameplay so how come you don't start from where you last played.
