Cut back on the amount of hardware on your line. Waaay too many swivels and unnecessary stuff. A simple Carolina rig works great with mullet.

Hit the Port Aransas fishing pier at night time! Behind or next to the Coast Guard substation! Good fishing at night! Lots of black drum

I'm glad you all had a chance to go catching. FYI the the fish on the Pier you all caught are hardhead catfish, not gaftop sailfish. The big fish yall caught on the shoreline were gaftop sailfish. When handling the hard heads, be very careful their top fin is toxic. When keeping a shark it is to remain in its full form in your cooler. The game wardens will fine you for a cut-up shark..Just make a slight cut above the tail for bleeding. Fish on and safe travels.
