What I really liked - apart from the great extra storage AND SUPPORT given for the daybed by the horizontal bookshelf unit - was the VERY ELOQUENT way the lovely cat briefly inspected her pink pillow AND TURNED HER BACK ON IT!
This is one of those things I've always wanted and I love the idea and it looks so cute but in reality I would be so paranoid sleeping that close to a window
Safety candle light wth shades/safe stands .. far frm windws,sheets, objects, ppl.. ,, no wires no electric nearby that also far frm windows, sheets, ppl,things n safely arranged. Etc
This is such a great idea. As someone with depression who spends most days in bed, this would be a perfect way to separate daytime and move a little bit. I’m excited at the idea of building this and having dedicated storage for my craft items and books so I can create a healthier habit. There’s so many reasons why this is fabulous and I just wanted to thank you so much for sharing:) I hope I can do this, I have that bookshelf and have been wanting to thrift something cottagey but haven’t made the switch bc i don’t want to waste it!
Just wanted to say that I know how rough depression can get and I honestly find it amazing to see other people still looking for practical ways to enjoy the little things in life. Since at the end of the day just finding bits of happiness is what life is all about. I know your comment wasn’t meant to be inspirational but I found it so wonderful to read because of how stigmatized my own mental health was growing up. I hope the activity helps your depression! I'm so sorry when I hear anyone say they have depression because it's a global problem all the way down to us. Pandemic and global warming are enough to make me want to sail away and never look back. But here you and I are ❤ I hope it gets better for you and you are not alone. I lost two siblings in Sept and Oct and I'm slowly digging myself out. Give yourself a big hug and don't be so hard on yourself. You are perfect just the way you are! ✌️
That's kind of what I was thinking too! I have depression and health issues that make me spend a lot of time in bed, but having a separate space sounds so lovely 😍💕
I'm really happy that whatever she makes like furniture or comfiness includes her cat to stay in.Its really kind of her to do like that.The cat must be lucky to have such kind of owner
I think two of those bookshelves placed back-to-back would be PERFECT FOR A BED FOR INSIDE OF A VAN Build-Out. Even if someone needed to cut ONE of the bookshelves down some to make the total width conform to their space requirements. I could see that working out nicely for that use.
Cardboard is surprisingly sturdy. If u make spirals with the corrugated tube bit going vertically u can make props for really cheap and it will be as strong as needed. U can also hide a rainbow or other art on the side of the props, since without the cushion it would b visible.
Great idea! Looks very comfy too. BTW, they do make furniture risers for wooden peg legs. They're hard rubber so they don't move easily and don't hurt your flooring. They make Round or Square ones, whichever you need.
I have been searching for "storage ideas" for a week. The amount of videos and pictures showing different ways to use a Kallax from Ikea is absurd. You can have a whole house built of Kallax , lol. Kallax solves all the storage problems and I really like how umder the bed storage turned out. It looks great! 😊
its wonderful. and if you like you can place the crystal doors for 3 of the spaces to avoid dust on your books. and they have a little box for your cat that fits in there. i love ur lounge
You should put self-adhesive felt padding all along the underside of that shelving unit, to protect the wooden floors. In fact, that jumping on the bed may have already scratched and damaged the floor boards underneath. You can also layer the felt padding to even out the shelves and give them stability. Or if you flip the unit on its side and add a handle, place the felt on that underside, and you have easily sliding pull out drawers, less dust issues for your books, a more even and neat visual appearance, and better potential use of that storsge space. Don't forget to add felt padding to the back of the crate and to the back, sides & under the legs of the bedframe, so it doesnt scratch the floor and wall under the windowsill whenever you plop onto the bed. Or you may lose your deposit and a rental reference.

I like this because if you lift off the mattress it could also occasionally be used as a table you could sit at cross legged or kneeling or with a floor chair. I'd like woven boxes on casters under it but that wouldnt give extra stability.
I did the same thing with this Ikea shelf but under my computer desk!! I fill the shelves with books which I love, and decorative boxes on top, I love the look!! ❤❤❤
I once had a situation like this very similar to what you went through, and what we did was we built a pull-out table that was sturdy enough that went under the day bed, but also had storage attached to it.
Heavy sunlight heavy hot if..then putting thin white cotton curtains or shields.. as sunside windows not needed only but just covering d heat, eye disturbing rays..previous homes sunside area had to cover only though it was horrible factory type hot always, but othr windows othr doors ok even so hot home. Mom , granma as usual used to cover everything possible where none ..ppl used to say open ,clear.. why don't u etc ..i was that like ppls choice but fam ppl used to close unnecessarily anything. I was in drwing room after failing final exm in 2005 severe hot noon n sitted there notedown persnl chemistry 1st as being Stuborn that finishing these will go fr rest/on bed in othr room. So previous dining table n me there wth guide books, main book n notebook ,pen n me..mom told me not to stay here this time as none is here how hot but I started to finish chemistry nostedown suggestions based storage. Mayb September last/wthn October 1st 15 days..horrible. I was doing writing n arranging ,signs fr important etc. Feeling bad then so vomiting feeling head to body feeling not normal n vomiting to sweating little..then i ha to come out n mom told nver to sit near windows table chair couch in this hot sunlight drct noon time. I had no drct sunlight where i sitted front large wide window but beside othr single windows n upprtop just roof no more any flat/structure n thin roof layer so horrible hot that drwing room at noon in drct sunlight hot noons also my room that was bounded type only ok was dining little room where bed exsted fr mom bro n my father's room , fathers bathroom, kitchen..rest rooms n bathroom was horribly hot. Even uncle tried logic in 2008 that due to hot drwng room hot my bed space I hav been suffrng in study/cant memorize can't study can't stay wth books alone doing raised voices doing shouting being angry always hyper etc he telling mom in 2008 as he got sick after abroad to short visit here n AC didnot work fr him. Mom stopped him as these r not d reasons but uncle had same logics n told its not my fault etc .. othr ppl used to b vocal why Don't we ppl open clear as i also agreed but .. they even blamed hot home fr brothers sickness , no attachments wth othrs etc. Ppl used to get bad in winter after reaching near our door n putting off warm clothes n asking whts this etc blaming. Top floor, n West sided windows , thin no righteously maden rooftop layer, fam ppls bounded habits not opening not clearing right windows doors n spaces, no arrangement types insde, so.. also me started to cover my bed side semi large only window in 2009 2010..then again after 2014 n 2016 17.. so .. but I tried that way so i used to feel outsde daylight outsde city night light when no tube light on..as I used to see sky, outsde ppl, roads, trees, hills always no matter hot, cold, rain..so I got mad in 2008 when aunt forcefully fitted AC above d window as hav to close fr AC. I had to put mine stocked hard art paper type which frm fathers room on ventilator above window, so I can open window easily n if they wish I can close fr them. So mayb window side, door side is main also hot ,cold, ..
Yes natural light.. gives something which tube lights can't though i hate energy bulbs I was about to die in pain in 2008 2010 in sir's coaching room but unfortunately that 2 days suffrngs only there but mom took that type bulb line when electricity power cut then that new horrible bulb will b on in dining n had to study there bfre every final exm days n I felt sick that 1 hour power cut once or twice daily as since late afternoon I had to go there fr study well , outsde day light not ok don't cover lighting on all fully so I stare I write I read i arrange fr so many frontal notes, books, key words, suggestions etc. So had to shift fr one hour or more times repeated power cut time there in that dining space where that rental shitty hot energy bulb on in power cut time. I thought sir's horrible torture cell bulb just 2 days hot noon had to suffr n nomore..but no,mom took same horrible fr power cut time n I nver thought I hav to go there willingly fr severe needs bfre final exam days every secnd hav to tolerate by self as one secnd is so much bfre every final exm days. So .. after natural light natural air winds open clear..then tube lights ok.
How 1 cat 1 dog 1 bird theory, logic of every pet owner inhuman? I just wanna know wht i don't understand yet, mayb I won't understand ever in this life..inhuman or more something else God knows..
