Days Gone is an action-adventure survival horror game set in an open world in post-apocalyptic Oregon. The game is played from a third-person perspective and is about a former outlaw-turned-drifter, Deacon St. John, who is trying to find his reason to live in a world surrounded by death.
In the game, you play as Deacon, who is two years after a pandemic has turned part of humanity into zombie-like creatures. Deacon's wife Sarah is presumed dead, but he discovers she may still be alive and goes on a quest to find her. Deacon is also facing other dangers, including mutants, or "freakers", and people hunting them.
