This brought tears to my eyes, I have watched this show my entire life. My mom also was addicted to this show and she said when it first came out, it was only on radio…Can you imagine that? Ang’s look at today…I feel a bit old and my grandkids are good at reminding me of that. Thank you for the trip down memory lane. ❤❤❤

Why don't owners of these classic soaps realize that they've got an absolute gold mine with the old shows; my favorite season of Days was from 1968-69. I would kill to see those episodes once again and I would pay for them as well. Like I said, a missed opportunity!!
I started in 82 when it was the Salem Strangler..my brother an I shared a room together, I was 16 at the time, I had to watch what he was watching because I didn't watch stories at that time ,so I had no choice but to watch, the show was about to go off and I said how come they didn't show the killer, he said you have to wait, so I waited all summer I think until I found out who the killer was , then I understood how they get you hooked , cause I was hooked 😂
I actually remember so much of this. The story where Mickey was on the run from the law, developed amnesia, and ended up on a farm where he fell in love with the woman who'd found him was so damned good...good enough that Edge of Night used the exact same story about 10 years later with Draper. And the Julie/Doug/Addie storyline was so original...it went on for YEARS, and was always enthralling. Again....such a great story line that Guiding Light borrowed heavily from it with the Holly/Ross/Blake storyline 20 years later. This footage, though? This was the golden age of the genre. I watched these episodes at my grandma's knee.
I’ve been watching Days since the beginning. I was only about 6. My grandma started watched and we stayed with her during the day. I loved Days back then. Now, not so much the way the show has gone. 😥
Bill raped Laura when he was drunk before she married Mickey, and became pregnant with Mike. At first she didn't know who was the father, then hid the truth when it was revealed Mickey was sterile. A similar storyline was later used on General Hospital a decade later with another Laura; the one where Luke Spencer rapes Laura Baldwin, and of course they fall in love.
I remember watching Days almost from the very beginning. I loved the character of Marie. They really screwed up by making her a nun and sending her away. I even remember the original Julie, who I liked more than her replacement (Susan Sesforth) although I eventually warmed up to Susan Seaforth, the actress who has been playing Julie for over 30 years now.
This is The Way That I Remember Days Of Our Lives Not The Way It Is Now. I Won't Watch It Now Because it's Totally To Up Beat Now. I Loved The Opening And Closing Credits Back In The Day I Loved The Way McDonald Carving Said After the Tempo Music Beat.Like Sand Through The Hour Glass So Are The Days Of Our Lives And He Would Say This Is McDonald Carving And These are The Days Of Our Lives.. Those Were The Good Old Days. Not Like That Anymore😢😢
39 years in the game and will continue to keep Peacock 🦚 so I can watch when I want to. I enjoyed seeing Marie, Addie, and Julie and Doug, and Maggie and Bill too!
