Why are they asking these people to give out the addresses, that's a violation of their rights, letting everybody know around the country where these people live at. When incidents like this happen the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) needs to investigate. As an individual seeing a police force doing an internal investigation is like having a fox watch th hen house. Nothing comes of their internal I vestigation because they are protecting one of their own. This has to stop along with "qualified immunity" who hide their failures as law enforcement officers behind this poor law. No accountability!!!!

The cops could have easily gotten on their little radios and called for an EMT to give actual assistance. What were they going to do with him after he was removed? Lay him on the ground? Carry him with dignity to a squad car? Interesting that no charges, of any kind, were filed against this man. You know why? He didn't commit a crime. He wasn't committing a crime when he was stopped. The cops knew that. It's insane that there is even a debate about how wrong this is. Having a prior felony doesn't justify this kind of treatment either. What happened to paying your "debt to society" and rebuilding your life? Guess that only applies to certain people and not everyone, huh? Point in fact, I've been in exactly the same situation as this man. Stopped for being in a "high crime area," leaving a "suspected drug house." Pulled over and surrounded by at least 8 cops in idk how many squad cars. I refused a search, I refused to leave my vehicle. The only reason I wasn't pulled from my car by the hair if my head was I was a pregnant white woman. The only crime that was committed was I dropped a kid off at his house after church. A black teenager. They said he exited my vehicle in a suspicion manner. Lol I pulled up to his house, he said thank you and got out. No tickets, no charges, just intimidation and an attempt to violate my rights. In the following months, my car was pulled over repeatedly. Twice in one night. I was screamed at, had tickets written for violations that were fabricated, had my car surrounded multiple times, sniffed by dogs. Because I'm licensed for concealed carry, I was constantly questioned about my gun, asked about random crimes that had occurred in a different neighborhood, threatened. I attempted to file a complaint but turns out, you can't complain on the police department. They won't even take the complaint. So, miss me with your silly judgments and attempted insults. You people think it's all fun and games until it happens to you. At this point, I sincerely hope it does. Just watch the news, it's happening more and more to so called good people. He was an easy mark. You don't know how he got that money, you don't that he was doing anything criminal at all. You assume so because it fits your world view.

Wouldn't it be better if suspension without pay was what police knew would follow their questionable behavior? Stop the rewards for police who harm and kill void like harm to them or others. Police have to know they have no rights to excluding juries and judges from having their ability to decide the guilt or innocence of a 'perp'; the rendering of a sentence when appropriate and the last meal request of one who'll face the actual executioner hired to kill the convicted person.

I am absolutely pro police but 100% watching this hurt my heart. We need more police and profiling to stop the nonsense, no one dresses like a gangbanger etc for fun, and for the bad guys to stay in jail not be released to cause more harm. But a disabled person is delicate in ways most people don't understand. Police need to get paramedic help to get disabled people out of their vehicles in situations like this to avoid injury.

I applaud these community members for coming together and demanding change! The panel of community members were diverse, well-spoken and touched on excellent issues with racial bias and hate within the police department. Hats off to them.

I am a disabled white man that can honestly say.. if it were me, I would never want to hear another word from the mouth's of those officers again, besides the fact that they would not be sorry to me, but sorry they are in trouble! If was a cop and pulled someone over that says they are handicapped and I don't know how to handle such a person, I would simply reach in the vehicle and pull the keys out of the ignition until my supervisor can arrive and take control of the situation! I don't care if you are a drug addict or drug dealer, if the law has this information about you, they have the information you are handicapped as well! Mr Watkins started off very well articulating what it was on his mind and in his heart. Unfortunately he lost his cool and a lot of that went out the window. I understand the frustration of a black man and black woman in this country not being seen and not being heard I have been here 70 years and I have shared with my great-grandkids some of the unjustice I have seen and dealt with. But I say to them keep your cool and work your civil rights and civil duties to the maximum.
