A challenging race in Round 7 of Thursday Night League with one particularly dirty driver (keep an eye on kart 23 in front of me at the start) who seemed more interested in putting people in the tyres than actually racing.
Astonishingly the marshals didn’t deem his driving worthy of a penalty which changed my mindset mid race to if that’s how we are going racing then that’s how we are going racing. The result was me getting my elbows out & eventually re passing. Sadly the time lost from eating Michelin meant the gap was too big to close on the top 5, luckily there were a few underweight drivers in front of me which promoted me from P7 to P4 in the final classification. In the end Kart 23s wild and dangerous approach resulted in him spinning all by himself & finishing second last :).
Ultimately, the race was a set back in my ambition to finish in the top 3 of the championship, with 5 rounds to go I will be looking to finish as strongly as possible.
