I am struggling right now as we speak brother . building is just the hardest thing about this game apparently

Check the base building info for the server you're playing. Vanilla DayZ has a lot of object placement restrictions. Privately hosted servers can adjust/change these restrictions. There are around 15 restriction settings total that are entirely separate from the BBP mod config settings, so this makes placement VERY dependent on the server you are playing in. This is likely a server specific issue, not a mod issue. You need to join the discord for the server you are playing and check the base building config/rules. It could be that you are trying to craft in a no-build zone, or maybe the server is running modded crafting recipes, or could be some other server specific config.. there's no way for me to know

that's dependent on the server config, but usually they'll have it set to industrial which means sheds, garages, warehouses etc
