DayZ Is Finally Getting New Buildings And Interiors This Year!! 

This is the one of my biggest complaints with DayZ. After like 7 years of playing this game and running around the exact same buildings over and over is extremely boring. A lot of them don't feel lived in at all as well. Very much looking forward to this map.

As a console player of DayZ, I could not be more excited. DayZ is one of the only games I will likely still be playing when I retire. There is still no game like DayZ and the experiences and choices it offers. I'm betting Sakhal will bring even more players to DayZ and console. Which means more full servers to play on. Thanks for the update.

I was myself really afraid that Sakal won't have many new assets but now it seems like it will be different from Vanilla maps and Namalsk

I want to be able to go upstairs in the orange brick building ! It's been around since Operation Flashpoint in 1999 and we've never been upstairs ! Also, upstairs in the cafe would be good too. And the basement in the square green building with the concrete stairs.

Really good seeing the devs making progressive changes to DayZ. Reworks and changes to existing models would be nice, making Cherno and those used in Livonia look more weathered. I can wait to see where DayZ goes. Whether staying to this "Title" or a DayZ 2. Id love to see down the road a way to transfer your Player to other maps with a "ingame quest" to get something working or a facility that allows access to a Chopper or something and a cut scene then moving you from Cherno to Saikal or Livonia.

I hope they change the way loot spawns. If you enter a building and see 2 things naturally spawned in that part of the building you know the rest wil be empty. Make things spawn like humans actually used them and stored them.

They need to add caves and maybe a sewer system later in the future would be dope. Maybe some tunnels, like on the railroad tracks. We need some trenches too. WWI/WWII trenches.

Would be really cool if the geo thermal plant was sill running or maybe able to be activated perhaps, youd need to activate the plant to open a bunker on the map, but problem is when you activate it the whole map gets power all the lights turn on.

Ah thats good to hear, the barred doors can be very frustrating, feels like wasted space/potential, especially in the two story houses.

This would be fresh. Looking forward to it. Just hope they bring in a new building crafting as that would definitely boost the enjoyment of the game.

After 10 years of playing this game i just wanted this, new buildings or new interiors... Fixing the zombie path would be aweosome too but i took what i can right? haha, thanks for the info Marks!

Only about a decade overdue! Good job DayZ! I mean really, paper thin walls and the same lighting inside as outside... the game is just ancient, these tiny little changes at a snail's pace don't impress

I was thinking just today, we still have some assets leftover from Operation Flashpoint and ArmA 2. They've done great upgrading many of these over the years, but you really start to notice them after 10 whole years of the game being out. Very excited to see progress like this, haven't been this excited since the .50-.60 days.

I’m hoping some of these get moved into the existing maps, Just for some variation in them, it would be nice to see some variation on cherno or even Livonia with the newer buildings

You know... I just thought of this while rewatching this video, but it would be nice as hell if the next patch came with a base building update, too. Also, I was watching another creator, and he seems to think the bow is making a return.

They need to overhaul the base building system too, its appauling that vanilla and console have a grand total of 3 items to build a base with gate, fence and watchtower atleast on reforger dayz we can use mods on console to build with

It's actually nice to see (again) some teasers not over-promising, like the old days. Props to the devs for keeping it real.

This looks good but is there any news of base building being updated on vanilla. It'd be cool to see some new stuff in that. I do agree with you over people's negative reaction to the teaser trailer, its called a teaser for a reason.

Open up all the rooms, make the bar for the door craftable.

Airports ,large buildings and parking garages are a must.

All this new detail and they still look static,maybe some moving net curtains at the windows would help

DayZ next step should be to spawn loot inside cabinets or on tables etc so you have to actually search a building, and also make new buildings for chernarus and make all buildings 100% enterable even if some of the rooms have boxes on the ground just to have the extra room would make the game more immersive and feel like you have access to everything. I see Roblox games like apocalypse rising 2 spawn loot inside of cabinets, dressers, etc so they should do that and also make chairs, sofa’s, benches etc interactive where you can sit down just to add an extra layer to the game. Small things like that will just add funnier moments and also just make the game more immersive for players looking for that part at least

Let's be fair they only added new assets because it was brought up. They said no. When TRMZ asked them in person, then looked into doing new stuff when the community also raised concern.

Let's hope they bring a new way of building on vanilla then I will look forward to playing it

None of this matters if theres no loot in them. One shirt and a bunch of cooking timers doesnt cut it

Thats great...maybe if devs worked more than. 5 hrs a week a piece on this game we could have a few maps on console by now and Mayne cars that are reliable.

They literally put annoying in the game except more base building. Now you can literally build a wall, gate, tower and some other little stuff. I play on ps5 so mods is not an option for us. But the base building in some popular mods are so extremely great. And I just can't understand why they won't just ad that to the base game....

I thought it was a better basebuilding video i for excited for a second. Their should be more than just walls and a guardtower..

What about building materials like better locks and and better building like on pc mods

Is duping a big problem on console official? Or bad luck. Went to Tisy and every door had a landmine. And I couldn't defuse them.

The sad thing is all new buildings, especially industrial buildings will only be empty shells and not building players can enter and use

This new map obviously look great. Just wish it was at least as big as Chernarus, but it is smaller. At least it´s bigger than Namalsk. I mean I love Namalsk, but it´s kinda small. Btw wonder what else we are getting with this DLC. I´d wager there could be some weapon or two as well. Hoping for some civilian Eastern stuff.

Wish they could expand these houses by breaking down those doors that are locked or barred down. Would allow more loot to be found by doing so, and more possible experiences

One big thing to advance DayZ would be building assets, loads of them, can keep all maps and add to them, wonder why this is such a big ask, you would think over the years that be standard! maps are made on USA, UK or where ever ect but in all respect it don't look any different at all, i really think the best big thing could come is a whole new look to assets 👌

As a original dayz mod player this is what made maps interesting giving power to the players being able to modify items like vehicles and guns on another note...Idk but i really wish their was a map creator on console i love the game running around the same map is boring

New map = Good. New buildings = Good. Same textures = Bad. About it. Outside of that, I can't wait. P.S. On a side note, it would be nice to see the interiors of the buildings give a slight heat buff (even more-so with a fire going), so players can wear different clothing, etc., inside of their bases while not being penalized by the temperature system for the map.

Hopefully loot spawns in them if not it’s a fuckin waste, like the apartment buildings in Cherno

They need to bring more to actual base building. Such as a rust building style. It’s so much more diverse and somebody on RU-vid even came up with a whole building mod just like that for dayZ. They need to adopt it or make their own, but base building needs an update.

Still no goal of the game but screen cap this. I've been yelling for years to add power plants so we can restore power to towns. Now with the lighting they added I hope this is the case

This game needs to add more ability to build more options to support your base, not buildings

I ran out of patience waiting for this game to reach its potential. Still have a look now and again on videos like this but its sad players are still waiting for this game to get good

They need to add loot to the apartments. As of now they are empty wastelands not worth visiting.
