This is the DB Raider that has been re-engineered from the original 1980 David Boddington plan to use modern r/c and electric power. They have chosen as a club build and 10 of them are being built for cheap and exciting flying.

Thank you guys. We have just come home from the field after 3 very successful and extremely fun flights with this model. It is brilliant! Two other members have almost completed theirs and soon we hope the sky is full of them. Thank you!

😂 good to see the whole family painting, thought it was just my mad lot that all got involved when it was decoration time if only they all came to fly too

Still got my original from seventies, local model shop cut the wing for us, covered in brown paper, asp 32 up front, flies as if on rails, first time round had a PAW 2.5 in. Great vid and super flying, the combat looked fun, thank you.

Wow! That looks like a bunch of fun. We have just built 3 of them and hope to fly them soon. Just wondering if you followed the plan as far as the wingspan goes and we are wondering exactly what motor you have used.

The wingspan is 900mm and the motor in mine (white with red/blue) and Ewan's are 2830 1000Kv spinning 10x5 props. The only addition we made was to add the lightweight fibreglass to the centre 2" to spread the load of the ply motor mount glue joint.

No confirmed price yet but possibly £25-30. It might work out cheaper to do a ‘2 in a box’ type deal, one for you, one for your mate even if it’s just to keep the shipping costs down
