Maybe the good mayor should follow the example of a real leader, Ron DeSantis, who just removed an incompetent black activist from her position as state attorney here in Florida. Her stats are staggering as to her failures....letting over 16,000 criminals off the hook without even sentencing them to recommended minimum prison times. Think Bowser will take action? Me neither.

It is actually a few hundred people responsible for more than 80% of DC violent crime and a few thousand, less than 1% of population, reposinsbile for over 90% of property crime.
I agree with much you have to say, but it is not Bowers. she opposed the relaxation of criminal penalties that the DC legislative body, the city council passed. It is the city council and separately elected Attorney General that are insanely soft on crime in DC
DC homicides in 2012 when we had twice as many bad guys locked up: 88 DC homicides in 2022 when the incarceration of bad guys fell to half: 205 Violnet crime has more than DOUBLED in DC
Dc had double the number of criminals in jail and prison back in 2012 and we had half the violent crime rate we have today. The problem is we have emptied the jails in Dc and have more than double the number of violent felons walking the streets as we did ten years ago.
Yeah, that’s nice. New station nine you get to travel along with the cops and actually hear what’s going on but the regular citizens don’t because of course metro police is encrypted, so who cares about your news story about telling what’s going on on the crime rate in DC when you hear mother, screaming, and kids getting killed in kids doing the crimes, when the DC police is totally encrypted and only you the news agencies get to bring the news to us when stuff happens why don’t you advocate for police to encrypt their transmission so we can hear what’s going on in the district I know what’s going on in our neighborhoods Instead of you getting a ride along with a district officer in the different districts total BS we go news nine
