I’m with you on the over design but I do dig it, apart from the head sculpt. Even though it’s not a good Batfleck, it’s a good like regular Batman if that makes sense lol. Also nice attention to detail with the bottom of the batcapes being different than the Keaton one!

The tone looks closer to a Battinson, but I’m not sure what they used for inspiration for the face. Great sculpt nonetheless, thinking of getting this one!

I really hope it wasn’t a rights issue for Affleck likeness. The card art doesn’t look like affleck either maybe this concept art was at a point when they were unsure if Affleck would return and just used standard batman look for artwork also could explain the colour issues too were the trailer looked blue/grey for his suit and this isn’t that. Headsculpt reminds me of the Arkham face type as if this was a skin for Arkham game good head sculpt all the same

My initial guess was that they added Ben to the movie too late to get his face on the figure, but the way I hear it told, they just plain couldn't get the likeness rights. Very weird.

@@JoshFromBefore it is very weird. Could be bit of it all really. The colours too is what gets me too. Still got the whole wave ordered when it eventually gets over here in the uk. Not ordered the bat cycle yet though and the batwing is far too much. May get the spinmaster one again if it ever reaches these shores

This Batman honestly looks like different figures glued together without much sense, not much congruence in this release. If you get him, he could just be sitting on the Batcycle and that's about it, so not too far from a statue with accessories. The Batcycle is not bad but the design isn't that appealing to me

I think we can consider the head sculpt as an Arkhamverse Batman with The Flash Movie Batfleck skin to appreciate it. Most people are turned off because it doesn't look like Ben Affleck.

I feel like Mcfarlane got kind of incorrect reference images for this one, the face looks off and supposedly the suit under the armor is supposed to have a slight blue color to it. The design is cool looking for the most part

I think they design this purely based on the concept arts, since even in the trailer, Batfleck's face and blue cowl are clearly added during post production. That being said, I think they still did a poor job since they could at least use BvS batfleck as a reference

I think the body is perfect, just maybe not for what it is trying to be, I think cutting the cape off, you have an armored scrappy lookin early years batman, all the armor is strapped on, the bat logo isn't prominent really, it kinda feels like he is piecing together the costume still

I'll pass on pretty much all of the figures of this wave, but that batcycle looks pretty sick. The tires look a little too smooth, but I like how the rest of it looks though.

Headsculpt reminds me of Arkharm Origins a bit. I think it’ll be good custom fodder forsure. Not sure how I feel about cloth cape. great vid!

I think he looks great other than the cape. I saw someone head up the head and smoosh it to make it shorter and looks more like Affleck. I am really looking forward to this!

I got these at Toys R Us before the street date I did hear Macy's got in trouble for breaking the street date but oh well. Otherwise a good figure not great the Batcycle is pretty nice.

Michael Keaton is 5'8" yet his Batman looks taller than Ben Affleck's who is 6'3"... Skipping both Batmans but I need that Batcycle!

It seems hard to believe that likeness rights for toys and other merchandise wouldn't automatically be included in a modern comic based movie. Maybe McFarlane just really dropped the ball on the likeness? That seems more believable to me anyway. 🤷‍♂️

I would think that promotional merch would be included in their contracts, but depending on how much pull the actor has, sometimes they have the ability to veto. It can vary a lot, some people don't care and sign off on whatever, Robin Williams refused to let them use his voice to promote Aladdin merch, Bruce Campbell has to approve every Evil Dead item with his likeness, it can go a million different directions.

The figure is great. But this and the 89 Batman should be the standard moving forward. No more heavy plastic capes, every Batman and Superman needs to come with soft goods capes.

The ZSJL Head is way better, not sure why they couldn't modify that head sculpt. I don't know how all this works any way, but its a head scratcher.

Sucks but it doesn't look like alotve thought went into this figure. It looks like a hodgepodge of a figure. I'm hoping we get a high end Last appearance Baffleck.

if you have to choose between this one and the white knight batcyle which one would you choose in terms of build quality and design? Thank you for your very informative videos

Personally I would choose white knight because I prefer the source material, but the art style of that one is very specific. This one is more versatile, it could be used with a lot of different Batman figures and make sense stylistically.

Very strange they got the likeness down really well on the previous batfleck compared to this one that looks nothing like him. And the color is all black looking nothing like he does in the trailer

Really hope carrying forward they don't continue the cloth capes. Dislike them on customs and they just stand out a mile away, don't tie into the plastic toy at all

Sadly he doesn’t look like Benny but the head sculpt is a pretty good standard Batman, wish he had way more paint, I would paint him but I’m afraid to screw it up, I am gonna get a custom leather cape tho
