While it would be nice to be able to house every citizen, from an idealistic point of view, it's also sadly true that a person who happens to be from another country looking for a better life for himself and his family is often more likely to become an upstanding member of society than a person who happens to be from the same country as you and is addicted to some type of harmful drug It is deeply unfortunate to see anyone be left without but the real question has to be asked - which group of citizens being cared for, with the limited resources available, is most likely to add to the prosperity, political health and economic wellbeing of the country? I truly feel for this man and his children. I’m lived for Argentina for 18 months and saw what real poverty looks like. I completely understand wanting a better life for your family. They can’t get legitimate jobs and end up costing tax payers billions of dollars every year. There is an answer to this problem but this isn’t it.
The poverty comes from a lack of education and skill. We have an office in Buenos Aires and the Accountants and Help Desk IT live very comfortably. Politicians need to admit to themselves that calling themselves a sanctuary city was a can of worms that cannot be closed. They did it to fish for votes at the expense of the people who live in those cities
