From Texas to New York on a Migrant Bus 

so tired of people that arent citizens get more help than american citizens

I feel bad for these people but it amazes me how entitled they feel. Why would they think I have to feed them and shelter them when they came here illegally. All 4 of my grandparents entered the US legally and DIRT poor. Watched a documentary and the hotels in NYC ($300 a night) are trashed, and TONS of premade meals r just being thrown out cause they don’t like them.

These people don’t give that “refugee” vibe… they seem a little entitled..

I’m an immigrant from South America and I do NOT support illegal immigration. Legal immigration is extremely hard. We spend thousands of dollars in immigration fees and lawyer to bring our family over, this means we have to work 2,3 jobs to come up with the money. It is a very long process (years of wait). We were all finger printed and medically cleared. We do everything by the book to be a part of this country and make it better , not worse. The audacity of these people trying to cross borders and expect immediate assistance astounds me . They are no refugees. There is no war in their country. There is poverty and violence, which we all experience living in poor countries. I understand wanting a better life. We all do. But there are ways to go about it and breaking the law is not the answer.

My mom worked as a volunteer at casa Juan Diego immigration shelter in Houston Texas. I went to visit her and I was disgusted at the behavior of the migrants. They were very ungrateful to my mom when she helped them. They were always on their phones not watching their kids run wild all over the shelter. My mom had to find the mother of a 2 year old who was in a dirty diaper at 2am crying my 80 year old mom found the mother outside on her phone. Don't being children into the world if your can't afford to care for them.

They come here and think they are entitled. Our own people are staving on the streets, lucky to get a meal in day's. Fix our own people first.

What are they thinking,.. "Land of the free", and the home of the brave,... doesn't literally mean that everything is free.

As a Texan I’m so happy that everyone else can get the opportunity to see how it effects your state.

The fact that they are letting these people in is mind blowing. Spending our tax dollars on giving them joy rides is sick. Send them right back!

As a Texan that has lived here I do believe every state should be responsible for the number of immigrants coming to the country not just the border states

Although it's tough for them but it's tougher for all of us that live and work in the US. Our taxes are used to house, feed, and shelter these people. I came here legally with my parents spending hundreds of thousands of dollars. Should it be fair for them to "hey we are just going to walk it"? No. If New York is dealing with it, Texas is dealing with it harder. The solution is to send these people back to their country where they naturally belong and have their governments deal with their internal problems.

How u travel to another country w zero funds then demand to be fed and driven cross country for free. Feed them, shelter them, drive them, fly them, give em subsidized housing. My ass has to slave at work and watch this. Ill be lucky to get a week off to drive to NYC. Where i wont be paid for taking the week off. $500 in gas both ways, food shelter I’m paying for. Hurts to watch this tbh. Smh

Our borders should be closed and nobody should be allowed to just walk in. I feel so for these ppl but I also feel sorry for the homeless Americans and some are veterans. These ppl won't even stand up and make a change in their own countries but they come here to change ours. Yes, God says to take care of the poor and do to them as you would want done unto you. But he didn't mean give these ppl special treatment. We have immigration laws and it's not fair that ppl who try to get here for yrs but going by these laws and these ppl walk right in expecting Americans to take care of them ahead of the ppl going by the laws. You either have laws or you don't it can't be both ways.

So I don’t understand why all these people from different countries thought would happen when they arrived. Do they think they can just show up and be taken care of?? I wouldn’t decide to just move my family to Paris, Germany, china or whenever and think okay this country will take of all my needs. Maybe I just don’t understand

We got people on the streets born in America we can’t help them better but people coming across gets hotels an apartment help faster wow crazy

Not going to lie, sending illegal immigrants to states that don't have to deal with them, but have opinions on how they are to be handled is actually a great idea.

As a Texan living here in El Paso, I understand both sides. I sympathize with their situation and predicament. I wish them the very best if they’re granted asylum. At the same time, I don’t condone illegal crossings, asylum is one thing, but crossing illegally should barred entry permanently.

This is not sad or heartbreaking to me at all. These people chose to come here, knowing the possible consequences. And they are all fully aware of what is going on and where they are going.

As an international student from a third-world country, it has been incredibly challenging for me to get a job and a work permit even if I have spent the last 10 years of my life here. So why should she get preferential treatment? We all want to come here to get a better opportunity and a better life, and we all have sad life stories that made us want to come here, leaving our family behind. I have been waiting in line for 10 years, so why is she being allowed to skip it?

How did they eat during their long journey? Were they being fed everyday? I’m conflicted by their story especially since my family and I grew up poor in the U.S. We bathed outdoors, used an outhouse, burned wood to stay warm during the winter while we ate food from the fields my parents cultivated…American father, Mexican mother and now all of their children are successful, but my parents didn’t ask for a handout! They made it clear to all of their children that education was the way out of poverty. People cannot show up in another country and expect to have all their needs met! Especially when considering that Native Americans are some of the most underserved and impoverished people in our country! And most of these people are well dressed, have cell phones and hardly looking malnourished! As a matter of fact, many are overweight! So…how did they eat during their long journey, how can they afford cell phones, clothes they are wearing? It’s a serious question I am asking! We have too many American citizens who are homeless because of corporate greed and Republicans who are more interested about staying in power and greed than addressing the real needs of their constituents! To the idiot that mentioned Soros, get a life and enough of the idiotic conspiracy theories that are destroying our fragile democracy!

They can't house NYS residents and US citizens. NYS can't do anything for those individuals. This is so sad 😞

A friend of mine was born in Venezuela now she became American citizen few years ago, she got here legally, has a job, pays taxes, even does not have a traffic ticket She legally requested her children showing that they will not be a public charge, proof of taxes, background checks on both sides, employment, money in the bank, own a home and expensive fees ... She has been waiting for almost 4 years for a decision from the Department of State. Her family speaks English and they have university degrees. the problem of these illegal migrants granted to stay in USA without any filter and will be a public charge, everyone has the right to emigrate but without breaking the laws, many good people but also many bad people who have committed crimes in Venezuela and in other countries. God Bless America

I visit NYC every year and have friends who live in the NJ/NYC and these places are extremely overwhelmed. Don't matter who's in charge it's a complicated thing to deal with.

What’s the incentive to raise the wages of the people already living here, when there is always going to be an endless supply of cheap labor and H1B visas (mostly not needed) pouring into the county. Can someone please explain to me why Americans who are not only sleeping in the streets but in Walmart parking lots with Their children cause it’s safer why are they not being giving the accommodations of showers, washers and dryers, telephones and oh Xbox’s with a sitting area and a refrigerator stocked with water, juice,chocolate milk etc. etc. 24 hours a day those are what are in the New tents going up in New York and those coming here seeking Asylum being placed in the shelters instead of those fleeing their own Countries due to crime give them the shelters they will have a roof over their heads same as the tents just not the amenities the New tents have? I’m sorry I feel bad for those women with their babies and yes we should help them, However The ones being given the Tents should be AMERICAN’S who lost their homes after Covid, or are being priced out due to The outrageous Rental increases That our Government is doing “ NOTHING ABOUT”But if you’re an asylum seeker Than you come to The US get Priority treatment, Free Medical My God We have retired People. Coming out of Retirement because they are short on their living costs, The Americans who paid into the system some their entire lives get the leftovers it’s wrong and “We The People Must Put a Stop to it ourselves and Vote out WHOEVER IS PUTTING AMERICAN’S second this could happen to anyone of us and we’d be pushed away or aside we are seeing this happen before our eyes…AMERICA WE NEED TO WAKE UP WE’RE becoming a third World Country do it for your kids and Grandchildren We thought we made a better. No one should be coming illegally without doing so legally. I moved to Europe and had to provide evidence of why I should be allowed. No one should be exempt. Shipping people to an unknown location is so wrong.

As a dad with a wife and young daughter that I would do anything for, this brought tears to my eyes. I wish that family a healthy and happy future. We certainly aren't all dealt the same hands in this world.

What gets me for all the Heartache, sadness and suffering these migrants say they experience in America, no one is forcing them too stay and they can easily turn around and go back home. I know things aren’t great in some South American nations but it’s not like there is some kind of South American famine going on. Many leave a roof over their head, a warm bed too sleep in and the love and security of their families.

Vice needs to do a documentary about smugglers and lying family members. If these people knew the life that awaits them, when many of them don’t even have an elementary education and transferable skill in Spanish let alone English, they wouldn’t come.

Imagine if all this effort was put into fixing their own country.

These poor people don't even understand what is causing their lives to be a living Hell. They drift toward socialism in their home country which sounds good at first, but invariably leads to ruination. Wanting to get something for free from the government or expecting the government to somehow subsidize your life is a recipe for disaster. Yet, person after person and country after country follow this flawed path to chaos. Eventually it's gets so bad that they decide to flee. But do they wake up and realize that socialism forms the basis of their tragic life? No, they immediately get back on government support. When they gain the ability to vote, either legally or illegally, they invariably vote Democrat, wrongly believing that socialism will somehow bring them happiness and prosperity this time. Of course it never has and it never will. The unfortunate outcome is that they leave the home country that they and people like them drove into ruin and immediately begin the process in their new-found home; i.e. the once-great country of America. Sad.

It humbled me to experience working at a DHS shelter for our new guests. I spent time providing much needed social services and met these individuals upon their arrival. In this video it amazes me to see someone I actually helped sitting on this very bud in plain view. We spoke for two hours. She patiently waited for me to not be busy to approach me for assistance. She was educated and came prepared with questions. I sat with her and practiced my Spanish and she practiced her English! I gave her daughter two coats. She was walking around with a DSNY jacket as a high school student. I replaced it with a semi new forever 21 coat she was sooo happy and a used pair of sneakers. ❤ I’m not working at that place anymore and think about her often.

As someone who has faced near homelessness as an American citizen. I AM DISGUSTED that these immagrants can get government subsized housing, when OUR OWN CITIZENS dont get help. Im sorry, but if we are rich enough to take in all these people, then why is there a housing crisis in every major US city?

I was born on the border , the US side. My parents came here legally and worked their way to living the American dream. I am so grateful , and I know they are too, that I was born here and that they were able to immigrate here legally. This is the best country in world, and so many Americans take that for granted. I can't imagine crossing a border illegally with no plan, no money and a small child (except if I was fleeing eminent death, war or political prosecution) and I am an African living in Africa and not rich by any means. Poverty is everywhere and countries that are doing well should not have to be forced to undermine their laws, citizens and sovereignty for countries that are not. Citizens have the responsibility to hold their governments accountable, if they don't do it no one will. Millions of illegals trooping across a border is oppotunistic and unfair.

Because of all of the rising conflicts and climate related issues, probably a third of the Central and South America's population could claim asylum within our lifetime. That's too many. When I first heard of this I thought it was insane, but this video actually shows it's a pretty good idea overall. It's not perfect, but no solution would be. It's pretty important to remember these people illegally came into the country so anything short of immediately bussing them back is a mercy. It's pure propaganda that "millions" are entering across the border and that they're all violent criminals. It's obvious they're just regular people and the numbers have been fairly consistent over the decades. But still it does seem like states far from the border have absolutely no clue the impact illegals cause on cities. So as insane as these bus trips are, they 100% help spread out the illegal immigrants giving them more chances to actually find work, and shows some of the ignorant states that illegal immigrants are indeed a problem with an impact and not to just blindly call border states racist for wanting to avoid those problems.

They all hit the lotto, free food and beverage plus living free in a motel. Gotta love it

Venezuelan here. There is something very fishy about this whole wave of immigration. These people speak Venezuelan Spanish, yes, but they sound artificial and as if they were reciting from a script. Also, these people are the lowest social class in Venezuela. Nothing wrong with that, but traditionally they don't migrate, especially not to a non-Spanish speaking country. This whole thing feels fishy and artificial for some reason.

What they should be doing is sending them back and don't blame Texas and Florida

The thing that makes me the saddest is these volunteers at the shelters making false promises in order to get people on the bus. To straight up lie and say they would be fed and go certain places is just horrible. How can you screw over your own people?

To become a citizen in most countries, they require you have the means to sustain yourself for a specific amount of time, have work lined up and must assimilate to the country. Here they just become a burden on the taxpayers. This country just doesn’t have the means to be giving away to people who can’t even take care of themselves, we’ve got enough of a homeless problem as it is.
