Damn...I scroll down and see a lot of haters. I watched the video and am wondering how those haters can't see just how hard it is to play a good chunk of the notes this guy did. Aside from a little slip up on a rift this guy is amazing.
I see a lot of negativity. As a fellow trumpet player. I think he did an amazing job. If all you have to say is negative crap. Then just don't say anything. At least he had the guts to get up there and do that.
He didn't skip any measures, I sang the whole song along with him. And to play on a trumpet that high, it's very hard and takes a ton of practice. Even though he messed up, it still shows how much of an amazing Trumper play he is.
Very nice performance. It's not a high G though, it's a high F. He's playing this in Concert Ab. Still props to him for nailing it in a high stress environment.
To be honest I was not thinking he was gonna make it through that without slipping up further after SKIPPING several measures of the national anthem........... But he ended it and was really kinda awesome! :3
I'm not a trumpet player (I'm a baritone player), but I know it's hard as f**k to hit the G above the G above the staff (super G....? Triple G....? Idk)! It's hard for me to hit the Triple Bb (trumpet players' double C above the staff). I can go up to a Triple D (trumpet players' double E above the staff) on a good day. Great version of Star Spangled Banner on Trumpet!!! :-)
Sorry sorry. I made a mistake. I thought that he was doing a different version of this. I had heard something similar. It does take talent for what he did.
When anybody here can play what he played PERFECTLY with no missed notes THEN you can judge. Don't judge when you can't play as good as he did, that's being brainless, just get good then you can judge 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻
The high note was E-flat concert of F natural for B-flat instruments, which this is. This rendition of the song is in concert A-flat, or B-flat for B-flat instruments.
Adam rapa did it better too. But this guy still did very good even with the mistake, unless he was trying a rif that didn't work as planned but who cares. What trumpet player or even a musician do you know that doesn't make a mistake?
High G >.< Its confusing with the octaves so in a sense it is a "double G", but most people and teachers and professionals i've talked to recognize the first of the doubles to be the A above high C. Not bashing, the guy sound amazing haha
Way too many completely unnecessary instrumentations. It's like when mediocre singers use way too much vibrato and casual people go "IT SOUNDS COMPLICATED THEREFORE MUST BE GOOD". great tone and sound, but it got choppy at the end and there were some intonation problems with the beginnings of his attacks.
You can tell who plays trumpet here and thinks they are good because they are all commenting on how they much better they can play it when they have no video proof.
