So, on my management internship I was supposed to be theater ops at DAK, then they did a reorg a couple weeks after I started training and I ended up with Dinoland and Island Park Ops, which included attractions, theaters, AND custodial. I know a bunch of people say this after having been given that role, but I assure you that custodial is the absolute best! Hot, yes, but the freedom to roam about the cabin😅 is unmatched. It really won’t be that bad if you somehow ended up in that role, trust me 😊 I moved to Dino Merch afterwards so I can definitely compare each area’s pros and cons lol That being said, I do wonder what’s going on with their hiring right now. I’ve submitted I think 29 apps at this point that have been declined, six or so of which were in an area I’ve previously worked 😭 All we can do is keep trying, I’m sure there’s a perfect role out there for you and who knows, staying where you are (hopefully😅) till January might position you for that opportunity when it arises. Edit to add - I used to hate wearing that pin pouch with actual pins on it lol - be in the middle of conversation with someone and all of a sudden it’s nothing but eyes on your hip 👀 or worse, little kids just pulling on it. Oh, and the sweat from where the strap would cross over me 😖
