Thanks for posting these great videos, I'm so glad you're enjoying my F-86 campaign. Only 2 missions to go! Once complete, I'd be happy to offer you one of my other campaigns as a gift, whichever you choose. Let me know!
Thanks for the offer! I actually just bought the Wolfpack campaign and I plan to play that next! I will say your new F-14 campaign looks like it will be pretty fun. I look forward to flying that as well :)
@@Wolfpack345 You mean Zone 5 or Fear the Bones? Zone 5 is already out, it focuses on hardcore realism, as close to an 80s F-14 ACM training as DCS permits, thanks to Dave 'Bio' Baranek. Fear the Bones will be released soon, and it's quite different, heavily story driven, more fun-oriented and quite cheesy/Hollywood at times. Wolfpack is also a bit more 'hardcore' than HOTY, as those missions are based on original WWII combat reports. It's not meant to be 'balanced', whatever happened in real life happens in the campaign. If it's 'Fear the Bones' you're after, hit me up on Facebook, and I'll send a copy your way once it's released.
I don't know how the other DCS campaigns are, but this one seems really well done. Lots of atmoshere and your editing certainly adds a lot to that btw.
Awesome content, tbh best stuff I have seen since 2020! Starting from war on the sea to the Hunter over Yalu campaign! It's really entertaining to watch, and see what choices you choose for certain situations!
Another great episode, 5hough I’ve got to wonder. In the first episode of this sires one of your wing mates told us about this very deadly mig pilot with a red nose. But so far we haven’t see or heard anything about him since. Strange isn’t it. 🤔
Good series, perhaps someone will come up with one for the A1E Skyraider AKA the Spad. Designed in WWII, it saw combat and development in the Korean War. During that time the company's engineers studied the hits on the aircraft, using plexiglass rods to determine projectile path and damage. Using that data the added about 1 inch (25mm) of aluminium armor plate to selected areas. The Spad had numerous variations and came to fame as the preferred escort and ground attack aircraft during the Vietnam war.
really like your videos and its great that there is some DCS Content! Please make that a thing to play DCS Campaigns! I can really recommend the one for the FW 190 A8 and the Raven one for the Hornet!
@@Wolfpack345 in fact the MiG 15 was better, it was faster, better climb rate among other things. The Sabre was a counter mesure a bit rushed in but it happened to have got the job done ; both sides got success with there respective aircrafts. For a dog fight between the 2, what helps the Sabre is the weapon config of 6x .50 MGs which is better suited against fast and small opponents than 1x37mm and 2x23mm.
@@simonlemerveilleuxdelisle3779 And the Sabre had a better turn, better maneuverability at higher speeds and a better dive. The 6 .50s were actually rather underpowered and was one of the disadvantages of the F-86. They ended up swapping them out in favor of 4 20mm cannons later on. Both planes had pros and cons of course but overall the matchup is pretty even.
@@Wolfpack345 4x 20mm is the best config immo to engage fighters. Packs a punch and still quite accurate. Not a fan of the 37mm melon launcher, I wish you could replace it by a Shvak in IL2 for the p-39. Another thing with the Sabre and the .50, you run out of ammo quickly.
