I have seen a lot of tutorials about Ka-50 but your videos are the best. Beautiful, understandable English and almost teacher-like explanations. Please "Sir Attenborough" keep it up :)
Very good tutorial. My english is basic but I think I understood most of your explanations. I have just acquired the Ka-50 module and your videos are very educational. Only a french translation is missing 😉
Thank you, I appreciate your comment. I hope to get back to making videos before long and having more of an online presence for DCS and other games I enjoy. Streaming set up needs some work but hope to be back soon. In the mean time, Fly safe
Let's say that I have some target coordinates. What am I supposed to do? If I enter those coordinates in the PVI-800 I won't see my target on the Abris and I won't know where the target is located on the map. This is bad. So what am I supposed to do in order to locate and destroy enemy targets, knowing their coordinates? Thx
You have to plot the coordinates directly into the ABRIS or if flying your own missions you can pre populate the ABRIS with the waypoints you created. To manually input waypoints select 'PLAN' on the ABRIS (then SELECT and UNLOAD any previously stored plan), Click DRAW (use right dial to move cursor to coords) then click ADD. Once finished plotting all points, click ADD then ENTER then PLAN then ACTIV. Be sure to make sure the ABRIS is using Decimal units as described in this video. Hope this helps :)
@@SquawksHead So, if I'm not mistaken, I have to move the cursor in the Abris all over the map untill I find the exact coordinates of my target. That's not super easy, but I'll try it. Thank you
I know now how to choose fx1 fx2 etcetc for inu fixing before flyover (or skval fixing) the nav system. BUT in missions there are separate fx1 in attack zone and BEFORE that fx1 there is an airfield named fxpoitn (was it fxU5GL, point is airfield code instead of fx + number) . How do I choose that airfield named fixpoint to flyover? ("FIXPNT" button + what?, like with fx1 it would be FIXPNT button + 1 (like in here). But how do i choose that first one on the track named fxUG5L ? Confused.
To disengage route mode you have to re centre (move to the middle) the corresponding switch located on the collective. Unfortunately it's not 'clickable' and has to be bound in the controls menu. On the collective you should see a switch marked 'route' (fwd) and 'decent' (aft). This is the switch that needs to be moved back to the central position to come out of route mode.
Thanks I see it now it's just a toggle you can press the route key bind twice Thanks for the videos keep up the good work look forward to some Apache content.
also.. is this just on my shark or what?--when you in middle of flight disengage the trimmer-reset it to ZERO-or whatever default is when u reset it..the chopper goes ballistic and breaks in half?? wtf
Apologies it took me so long to return to this question. I'm finally managing to get more content out! I'm sure you've probably worked it out by now but yes, resetting the trimmer in flight will make the Helicopter go 'ballistic' if you are considerably far away from the default trim. Personally I only ever 'reset' the trimmer if I'm stable on the ground.
It's been a long time coming but I finally found time to release further videos. Please see my new PVI800 Advanced Video if still interested in the Black Shark :)
