RSBN or Arc beacons cannot be set up in the Marianas map, so the MiG-21 is the hardest aircraft to navigate... Has to use dead reckoning in a storm with bad visibility and strong winds... Yea, that's no fair, so now the controller tells the directions you need to fly and for how far, which isn't really important, if you stick to about the right course, you'll hit the next message and be directed from there :)
Apparently the old girl drops her belly tanks along with the Rocket pods! luckily there was enough fuel for the rest of the mission :D
These missions seem boring, but it can't all be dogfighting if it's part of a campaign, bad weather navigation is intended as a change from the short operations.
