Digital Combat Simulator World (DCS World) is a free-to-play digital battlefield game.
Our dream is to offer the most authentic and realistic simulation of military aircraft, tanks, ground vehicles and ships possible. This free download includes a vast mission area of the Caucasus region and Black Sea that encompasses much of Georgia. @@Hellreign82 Su-25 is SO MUCH more manouverable than Su-25T. Much less capable, but IMO Vikhrs are quite boring to use anyway.

They have a really narrow seeker head though, so it's hard to maintain lock and lead. At least for me, but I am admittedly terrible.

Yeah unfortunately the 9P and the A-10A are not very flexible. Very small area to lead the target before the seeker drops the target :(

With HUD as SOI you should be able to TMS up with a heater selected and put the seeker head into search mode to help with the narrow FOV. It also will track across the hud with the lock. Cool vid!

Yeah that's the trick for the A-10C, but this is the A-10A, old school :)

VKB Gladiator NXT premium. So far so good :) Not too pricey either. Essentially has the same amount of hats as a Warthog stick too

@@Hellreign82 Great choice! My best friend just got one too. I got to check it out and agree it is great. *if anyone is reading this and wants to get into flight sims right now, check out the VKB Gladiator* Might pick one up, myself or the gunfighter base with the same stick. Not sure. Hope you enjoy yours. I'm curious how you'll end up using the 'quick fire trigger' or whatever it is called (above the main trigger). Thought that would be useful in so many ways. Anyhoo.... thanks for the reply and upload.

@@tehbigshow I use it for the trigger safety cover on planes that have it (viggen/mig-15/109) otherwise, it's just there :) Still, it's a handy extra two buttons if needed

It's way cheaper for one lol. Plus the A is the cool cold war version. I'd kill for a full fidelty A-10A.

He was playing on a Cold War server. Non-cold war jets are disabled there.

The A-10A is FC3 as you say, simple to get going and use. But also limited capabilites (no target pod etc) But yes, the C is not available on the CW server, A fits better :)

0:13 This isn't ideal for content on the Tube, sorry to say that. It's a hard to watch Kylo Ren mail slot footage on a 16:9 or 16:10 and literally almost noone has Ultrawide (As per Steam HwSurvey, 2560x1080: 1.10%; 3440x1440: 1.22%; Other: 2.11% which might be anything non-standard including 32:9 things or just pivoted default resolutions in portrait mode). Too bad my Ultrawidify addon (partially) stopped working a while ago, I could crop the Tube player down to my screen aspect with that right while watching. And Firefox Reality, Bigscreen or anything else within my Quest also limits the rendered virtual screen at 1920x1080 apparently (haven't tried that in PCVR though TBH). The thing is, you could crop the footage to 16:9 before uploading (or does RU-vid provide for such a function maybe?) to make it a better experience for the vast majority of your audience while you can enjoy your wider FOV while flying. Nevertheless, great video as always :)

I don't think it's that bad. Limited perhaps, but Mavericks and dumb bombs, Gua-8 and a decent flight model make it fun But each to their own

@@Hellreign82 i was mostly referring to the module its self and not the A-10A's abilities. I feel like it would be better if the cold war server just gave us the A-10CII with limited ordinance. I realize the A-10CII is better it many other ways than ordinance, but there is no high fidelity A-10A and the one we have isn't fun to fly IMO.
