@@Rodz88 I’m surprised blue isn’t actively hunting you yet when they see you’re on. You do frontline drops as well right? When 2-3 ‘bluecord’ guys are on, they sometimes make flying chopper for me impossible. They will have 1 guy GCI and send 1-2 for me as soon as I take off. Changing farps doesn’t help and they admit to specifically target me for killing too much frontline and doing the stuff you showed in this vid. Perhaps this vid will earn you enough notoriety to get a dedicated hunting squad as well 😅

Oh forgot to mention, your hover pickups are so smooth 👌🏻. I’ve not gotten those down as well as you I think. You use track IR ?

@@MorgothNL i think now i should get their attention 😂 i have to admit this is not my first time doing airbase raids. Yes, i do frontline drops a lot, especially at industrial structures & barracks. I enjoy these deep strike sorties. Thanks! To achieve that smooth hover took me LOT of practice to be honest, you do that a lot then you will eventually find the sweet spot of amount rudder & stick input you need to make it happens

Try it! The Hip was my 2nd last heli i bought (i owned all helicopter module) i was initially scare to fly it because i felt it was heavy, sluggish, easy to get into VRS. After been flying it for few months now, boy o boy. I realized her true potential especially in ECW. She is opposite of all the initial impression i had except for VRS, just be careful with it. Im having lot of fun flying the Hip now!

@@blackfalco33 sadly the 2D editor is all you have in DCS. So placing object can bit a pain in the ass for mission maker

VRS.. That's the only thing that i fear the most. You gotta look out for the sign of VRS about to happens especially when you slow down & airframe start to vibrate, you gotta prepare to add in a bit more cyclic. Oh yes, i would be rage quit if im in their shoes. I know how it feels, but some did quickly de spawn to avoid being slaughter. That was a wise choice. My goal is to deny them using Hama since that is their frontline base that F-5 can take off from.

I do fly the Hind. Infact Hind is actually my favourite helicopter. I do have many Hind videos on the mission i made public & some combat footage in Grayflag server. Reason being I choose the Hip instead because of how troop management works in ECW. Only Hip can carry normal troops & 3 squad of troops can deal serious damage to enemy frontline & take out almost all air defenses in a single drop. I couldn't afford to fly Hind & slowly take out 2 Roland SAM & 4 Vulcan AAA in a single ship Hind. It's suicidal.

i was very lucky to get real close in the 1st place. Our CAP really got the enemy occupied

I hold it down once until i wanted the heli to fly on specific heading & angle. After that i let go, prior to landing, i reset the trimmer & land wifh neutral trim, i felt i have more control of the Hip by doing that

i ran out of ammo. then my door gunner is sleeping on his job, so... XD

There are none left, we deployed troops prior to this video, the troops took it out.

Thanks man! im using the VKB Gladiator NXT joystick. For helicopter, the rudders are important to have a smooth movement like that. I do not own a rudder pedals at the moment.

@@FGCH03 i use the rudder on my throttle, im using the thrustmaster T16000m throttle. it has been a good throttle for 3 years now

Someone had clear the path & actually i did do troop drops leading to the airbase. I only approach it when all defenders are down. By the time i flew on top of the airbase, I think one vulcan left but later it was taken out by my troop drops

Great job getting into bluefor airbase, i bet you stir up the hornet nest 🤣 i always do another backup of my trk file. Did your flight happens before the most recent update? If yes, its not your fault, each update will mess up the trk file

@@Rodz88 it was after the update. And stirr up we did. Flew together with a Hipbro. He got rid of all the Sam's and Vulcans. We ended up hovering over Hama for a solid 10 minutes due to insane server lag and because our troops couldnt get rid of the air defenses in one go. There were alot of blue jets in the area and i had 4x R60's with me but for some reason i couldnt shoot them. Hipbro unfortunately clipped his tail rotor on one of the buildings cause of the lag. I then rushed in, dropped my SOF in an attempt to capture the airfield and began cleanup with cannon and gunpods. On my way out i picked up my troops again and fled back to my farp but unfortunately i got downed by one of the F5's i farmed earlier. One of the best sorties i ever had.

Casualty land next to enemy & take control of the MG was really some achievement 😂

That is one of the feature of troops we deployed. Once they done with their mission, they will pop flare to mark their location to you. But be careful, if we can see it, so does the enemy. I was lucky no enemy jet come strafing my ass. HAHAHA

The graphics are great man! Especially the sunsets/rises. Also make sure to get Reshade, which makes everything look even better, and to get the Caucasus redone mod, you can also find some very good Reshade presets there too. The mod redoes all of the textures on the map, makes them a bit better and vibrant. These mods don't kill you fps either, I have a RX 480 on custom medium settings and I get around 50fps in single player, and 30-40 on MP. The default ground textures has to be low though so the min requirements aren't a 3090. Another reason for the ground textures being so low is that DCS is really fixed wing focused, and you won't see much of a difference in the ground textures at 10000 ft, and/or at 500 knots, so might as well save performance.

Well said. Yup. I used to have reshade on. The difference is day & night! But my own preset cost me few good FPS, so i stopped using it. I do use the Caucasus terrain mod too, It's freaking beautiful! But sadly it does pass multiplayer Integrity check. For the size of the map, i felt the terrain is pretty good.

@@blackhatch46 it’s not cod, but you should hold it to a higher standard. Don’t cheerlead, point out that it’s an old engine that needs a big update, they have the money to do it, I’ve spent over a thousand alone. Many others have too. They have the capital to fix this garbage

IMO it is still ok for such huge map.
