DCS Viggen - RB-05s and AKAN Gun Pods

RB-05s are SACLOS (semi-automatic command to line of sight) missiles with a massive 160 kg (~350 lbs) warhead. After launching them, you manually steer them to their target. Because they require your full attention for the duration of their flight, they're not that great against things that shoot back, because you can't guide them while evading. They're also not that great against small things, because they're hard to guide, and you're likely to get a near miss. However, if you want to take out a bunch of parked trucks, or dense infantry formations, or maybe crater a runway, they're extremely effective and great fun to use.
The Viggen's gun pods are extremely accurate and easy to use, as long as you use them right. Gotta wait for the firing cue, and use short, controlled bursts. If you do that, you'll be able to do a lot of damage. If you've been having trouble hitting what you're aiming at, this video's for you.

Great tutorials, as always Viking. Only thing, the RB-05, worth a mention, that as soon you go safety off, you start the batteries for the "wireless controller", atleast thats how they are supposed to work. Not 100% sure if they work like that in DCS. And You want to cover the target with the missile burner, in order to aim. So put missile over target, and keep it over it untill impact. :) But, lets try to fly over a target, release missile, and instantly stear it up do a loop and hit the target. Thats the RB-05 Challenge! :P

Yeah, the battery only lasts for 40 seconds, so you have to get it off the rail quickly. I haven't actually tested that, but the Heatblur manual mentions it, so I'm observing that rule. I actually was trying to cover the target with the missile flare both times, but the first time, I over-corrected and it went long. The second time I actually nailed it, though. :)
