On the Red side I’ve observed as a JTAC , a MIG driver named Zachrix doing some weird shit with an R60 missile , he can make it do a hard 90 degree turn to hit a target while flying straight , only one so far I’ve seen that can do that . Maybe you can follow up and show us how to do that too .

Great video, very informative! Do you know if there's any way to uncage IR missiles in the MiG-21? You can carry r60's which are all aspect, but they're usefulness is diminished if you can't lead the shot.
The R60 is not all aspect. The R60M is has limited "all aspect". meaning it has a higher degree of angles it can lock onto, but it still cannot lock onto aircraft head on. There is no uncage mode , they uncage automatically once they go off the rails and uncages 0.5-0.7 sec. after launch. Question- why not burn out of the tank with a leak until it is almost empty? Turning the crossfeed allows all that fuel in the ruptured wing to suction out and go to no use at all.
Tricker That's fair. Just had been thinking back to some advice I got during training regarding fuel leaks or forgetting to put a gas cap on. Definitely smart to follow the advice you gave if the leak is heavy.
I thought cross feed could result in losing fuel from the good tank. I thought I saw a grim reapers video where his cross feed was off, and he switched it on during a leak and the good tank was empty in ten seconds before he realized he shouldn't have done that.

I don't get why a contact disappears from the RWR search mode once they lock you. That seems strange. Are you supposed to check search and lock mode every time you look at your RWR display?

5:39 I'm confused, that was too quick. "Search function, and now a lock function? and he's there." What is the lock function with RWR? What button(s) is that? I never receive audible warnings with a missile launch either.
David Lawrence Go into your adjust controls and search for search and lock and you will get a drop down of bindable keys. In search mode you will get tones but you need to go to the lock function of the rwr to see exactly where he is shooting you from
I have asked a few people about what jet I should buy next since DCS is having a sale until July 4th. I have the mirage, F-15,F-18 and A-10C. I like the F-5 or the AV8. Possibley mig 21 too. Any suggestions?
