You got a sub out of me for these videos. Lots of tutorials out there showing you the basic steps to get through the process, but like any good educator you don't stop there and go into all the little tips and tricks to watch out for. THIS is how you make a tutorial. I'd say I wish they'd implement this depth of instruction into the in-game tutorials...but then there'd be no reason to watch yours. You deserve far more love from the DCS community. Much appreciated!
Good stuff! You have a gift for clear demonstrations free of fluff. I like the idea of prepping weapons on the ground, it frees up time for SA, and I never thought about using couple AP mode. Whenever I see questions, I send people straight to your vids.
U can do your vids better if you say the buttons that i need to press. Like the target designator i have the x56 how can i tune the axis in the right way?
Only thing I would add to this is to NOT arm the laser until you've found your next target and are lining up on it, or you'll burn out the laser if it's on too long. I've done this before and then you have to land and re-arm to change your targeting pod.
Arming the laser doesn’t burn it out AFAIK, I thought if you actually fired the laser manually for too long continuously it burns out but I most definitely could be wrong 🧐
After drop the coupled aircraft banked left. Won’t that mask the pod if it’s on the left cheek? How far until in turn until pod is masked? Or was the target off to port?
When you are that close to target then aircraft can only really bank left or else it will mask the pod immediately with a right bank as the pod is on the left cheek station. It only has to be in view for approximately 40-50secs for bomb to track and hit target so masking shouldn’t be an issue in that time frame.
Awsome video. Just to explain what happens: When you have Coupled Auto Pilot for Auto Bombing selected, what ever your HSEL is set at, the jet will select HSEL once bomb hits target. Its always a good idea to select the direction you would like to exit.
Haha, there are many ways to skin the cat, I usually put the heavier bombs on outboards purely because I’m going to drop those first and if I get jumped by enemy CAP my Centre of gravity will be in closer to the wings with smaller munitions fitted there letting me be more manoeuvrable to BFM or dodge missiles. If shit really hits the fan though it’s the admirals doorbell and seeya later all stores to keep me able to fight and live another day
Why though. U just let it tilt ? Won't u press trim to trim it. Or does it not work . Mine doesn't work too well if too heavy on one side? Please help..
Depends on the situation mate, if I’m going to drop the other side straight away I won’t bother trimming it out because it will be all good again once the other station has been dropped. It’s personal preference mate, if you don’t want to put a stick input to correct the roll you trim it out, if you’re ok with holding the stick to maintain level flight then that’s cool too
