I like those intros in the beginning and during the flight. I'm not sure if this is a part of the game or not but it looks like history, makes to feel involved. Well done!
The intros and external shots are recorded within DCS world from the replay track. You setup the situation the way you need it and then take control of one of the planes and hope AI will behave the way you expect. It often takes many attempts 😁 Thank you for the comment and keep watching!
Seems the notification system of YT really has it’s Problem at times 🤔haven’t got any notification that this video was up... Great historical content as always just wondering 💭 how you do that all to turn out in the end for being such a real great video.😉 To be honest your one ☝️ of the best DCS historical content creators.👍👍👍
Thanks one more time for your comments! I believe that one of the most important things when creating is doing something you like. I make videos that I would like to watch myself. I try not to compromise too much and just repeat the most successful formulas. I knew this video would probably not be among the most successful ones (in number of views) but I made it anyway because I like the A-4 and ground attack just as much as air-to-air combat.
I always found it interesting how simple and elegant the A-4's design choices were. It came in around 20% under budget and served for decades after it's intended replacement. Most fighter-bomber development programs are at least that much *over* budget.
Oh, yes. From today's point of view and development programs such as F-35, it seems like one of those grandfather stories that start with 'when I was young.....' 😁
@@showtime112 Seems like costs started to balloon when aircraft were required to be multi-role. I can understand that requirement when you need your carrier assets to be flexible, it just costs more. The Super Hornet can even refuel other Hornets, an A-4 feature they didn't want to lose apparently. I'm guessing this is not implemented in DCS though. :)
@@6mtzhp55 I think that started probably with F-111. As for buddy tanking in DCS, that's not possible with the A-4 in DCS. Apparently, they would require access to some element of the game code which only the official ED partners get. But you can refuel it from a big wing tanker though.
Hello! I love your videos and I spend a lot of time watching them. I would like to suggest the recreation of Operation Opera, the Israeli strike on Iraqi Power Plant in 1981. Yeah! it will be a hell long video, but would demonstrate a lot of radar avoiding tactics used by the Israelis during the long flight. across Jordanian and Saudi Arabian air spaces.
Thank you for your comment and suggestion. The topic itself was already covered by other channels. Which doesn't necessarily mean that another approach couldn't be taken to the story. I'll consider it, I just need to see if I can contribute significantly with a video like that.
Thanks! I was thinking about it. Actually, LABS is another system which the developers are currently using here for the bombing computer but that's how it now works. I'll probably do something like that. Thanks for commenting!
@@RealDarko One more thing. It seems that a Su-7 mod was available a couple of years ago. But now, every download link is apparently deleted. Do you know if that mod is still available somewhere?
@@anthonyhershko Some mods are like that but not the A-4. It's completely standalone. You don't even need to have any other module installed because it doesn't use instruments or textures from them. Everything is original and now with the new flight model, at least 90% as good as a pro module. Just go and install it!
What do you mean by 'on the home screen'? You selected the A-4 Wallpaper? I had a different problem, I couldn't get the cockpit view until I reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.
@@showtime112 The A-4 shows up on the main DCS screen and I can go into instant action or do preset missions like free flight but when I go into mission editor and try and put one down it doesn’t show up for any country.
@@raidtv3939 Well, I have to say I don't know what the problem is. It definitely should show up under any country. But this is beta version, I hope they fix that. Or it is some simple thing specific to your PC:
Obrigado! Eu gostaria de fazer isso. Infelizmente, não temos o Vulcan no DCS World. Talvez, se no futuro alguem fazer este avião. Não ha um avião semelhante agora.
WHAT A VERSATILE AIRCRAFT, USED EXTENSIVELY IN VIETNAM & ALSO BY ARGENTINA DURING THE FALKLANDS WAR. WORKED ON THE J52-P8B USED IN THE A4E. FINAL ASSEMBLY, & TEST CELL OPERATOR AT N.A.S. ALAMEDA, CIVILIAN MECHANIC
Good video, I was looking for more ADA fire and good utilizing flares, never know about shoulder held weapons. Would a 4k monitor be to much? You had answered previously, but can't find your response.
Thanks! As for the ground fire, most of it was suppressed by the first flight with their clusters. Speaking of 4K monitor, if you are going to play DCS (or anything else) in 4K resolution, you will need a high end PC. A weaker PC can still play YT videos at 4K however. For me personally, standard HD is fine but if you can afford to go higher, why not?
@@showtime112 nope my mind is made up, the 1080 is okay with me, I still serve God and country in a different role. Will 16GB okay to run the game? Thanks
@@ronaldwatson1951 I think you should be OK with 16GBs. I started to play DCS with 8GB only and it wasn't great, especially after one big update. When I increased ti 16GB, it was a great improvement. I further increased to 32 but improvement was only slight. But you can buy extra RAM easily later if you need it.
A i to traje godinama.
Film claims it's an E but serial numbers ( wrongly placed on the wing ) are 4XX given to N . Plane in the film looks more like an N - unit emblem of the plane in the film is 110 which in 1981 flew F16
Serial numbers are not necessarily correct. Making skins is a complicated process and when you can find something close enough, that's a small victory. Also, the A-4 module in DCS World is the E variant. That's the only one available.
At this point, there was no bombing computer implemented so basically, you have to follow a flight pattern very closely. You dive at a specific angle, specific speed and you se the sight depression at a certain number of milliradians. There are tables with exact values.
Fantastic simulation game! However there is a lot of room for improvements in realism. For instance, there could be a mode where we get to see and hear the human damage up close! Some would be screaming in agony, others would be distraught holding thier headless loved one. In fact , if we don't leave the game suffering PTSD , then it's not real enough ! Seriously though, the more realistic the sim gets, the closer it must come to such unpleasant details. I know this is not the usual topic, but it is one that will eventually confront all of us, especially developers. What do we include☑️ and what do we censor? ❎ Thanks for your time.👍
A-4 was a very good light attack aircraft. In fact, some modifications were made by Israel which made it less vulnerable such as the exhaust pipe extension.
