This channel is about the history of military aviation. If you were a fan of History Channel's Dogfights, you will enjoy this content. We similarly use computer graphics to reenact clashes between various military aircraft, but we cover a much wider range of stories, including many 'forgotten' conflicts involving Third World nations. To achieve this, we use state of the art flight simulations such as DCS World, IL-2 Great Battles and War Thunder.
Glad to see a video made about this event. I have talked about this for years. I was stationed with the 81st fighter squadron when this happened. Amazing to see the plane back up and flying after swapping out the motor and of some other parts of course. There was another plane that took a hit in the belly and kept on flying as well. Both planes had purple hearts painted on them.
The CR 42 Falco was the very best fighter biplane that could endanger hurricanes ( if not well flown) so it was certainly an even if not a superior AA fighter against Stuka's
For one thing, they didn't have cannons, they had machine-guns. Only two light ones. Even if you can hit a Messerschmitt with them, you probably won't shoot it down as it is not much of a punch. Second thing, nobody rams an enemy airplane unless they first try to shoot it down. Only if they fail (run out of ammo, their weapons get jammed etc) do they ever consider ramming.
A lot of Luftwaffe jets were built by slave workers. That does bode for good quality, and production was often sabotaged by them, leading to malfunction.
I really feel sorry that everybody in this part of the world is fighting everybody. Instead of working together they work against each other not knowing they live in the same part of the world and any damage to any side will cause a damage to the other side. It is such stupidity that gives the west and Israel the chance to step in and take control. The result is quite obvious and yet nothing changes and everyone is still fighting against everyone and we all will wake up one day with nothing left to us and our children.
I'm split. I would like to support the british since I believe they were in the right to defend their island, but also my Argentinian brothers who also have a strong reason to claim it as theirs. And... Aaah the AIM-9Ls... Even if these were "just" Sea Harriers, they had an absolute advantage in Air-to-Air capabilities just by their missiles. The old Mirages and Skyhawks didn't have a chance of ever defeating these. Quite the opposite, I've heard their A2A missiles didn't even work at all. Makes me feel bad for the Argentinian pilots. Risking everything just to lose in the end.
Luckily, the esoteric gnostic cult via Nazism didn’t have these at the beginning of the war in 1939. Unluckily, the esoteric gnostic cult today, via Wokeism / Nationalism / China / Blackrock / Masons, etc. now have everything they need - and more.
As previously mentioned I was a gunner on HMS Intrepid during the Falklands war and speak from first hand experience. I have great respect for The Argentinian pilots. Please see my previous posts but they were sent on a suicide mission. By the end of the war most of The Argentinian airforce were shot down and destroyed. That’s a fact. They did not alter the course of the war. Sorry
Hmmm. Ultimate Luftwaffe fighter, against fighters, was the Bf 109F. The ultimate workhorse was the Fw 190A/F. After that, between lack of key metals and quality fuel, their engines were crap. The design doesn't matter much if you can't get more than a dozen in the air at once or fly two consecutive missions without rebuilding the engine. A dozen Ta 152s might have clobbered a dozen Tempests or P-51s but the next day there would be two dozen Tempests and two dozen P-51s to the two serviceable 152s. It was a wonderful design but ultimately, insignificant.
Excellent video, just a small correction. Night fighters did not use tracers, because they ruined their pilots night vision and gave their position away.
During the first minute of the video there's in the background the voice of the infamous argentine war reporter Nicolas Kazansew, who spent and reported most part of the conflict, often with triumphalistic rethoric.
"Ultimate" - a big claim which would need technical, statistical and anecdotal evidence from appropriately qualified people to substantiate it. Very good and the best the Germans had is not evidence of Ultimate.

Thank you for the feedback. Almost all other Iraqis immediately proclaim any videos where Iranians are ever remotely successful as lies and propaganda.
Couple months later, Saddam accused the Syrian president of betraying the Arabs because he colluded with the Iranians to launch their attack from Palmyra Airport to bomb Al-Waleed Airport (H3). According to Saddam, the Iraqi leadership was initially certain that the raid was Israeli. After it became clear that the raid was Iranian, the airport commander, who was a colonel, committed suicide because he felt humiliated by his inability to anticipate or respond to the raid.
Disgusting History, if they safe their army and weaponry for the real deal against Israel, Sadam would not end up hanged and millions of Iraqi and Irani young men would be saved
If Invincible had been hit. The British would not dare tell anyone at the time. A Carrier is not the same as losing an Escort ship. For air ops to be safe you need two decks in a warzone. Why? if your limited number of aircraft are up, and the deck is out of action you need another deck to land on. So if she was hit and had to withdraw and undergo repair at sea this might explain limited air ops at the time. Doubt we will ever know.
there is an old movie based on this event made by IRAN. Operation Starts at 00:52 Hail from Iran ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Nyc5z6SHQLM.html
Don't worry about how British place names are pronounced. It was a petty dis on your part and tainted the whole story for me. I'm sure there are plenty of place names worldwide with odd pronunciations.
Stuka 's required the Luftwaffe to have air superiority , otherwise , allied fighters would make quick work of them . From July 12 to 18th 1940 , during the Battle of Britain , the Luftwaffe lost 41 Stukas . .
Well, you can simply search YT for 'Mirage III vs Sea Harrier' and all three just pop up in the results. Maybe it's because your Spectrum only has 16K. Mine had 48K 🤣
@showtime112 touché! We got a ram upgrade and when I came over here I got a +2 so technically I had 128k! Great videos hoe do you make the flight sim parts?
@@zxspectrum16KB I changed teams with my next computer. I went over to Commodore and bought Amiga 500. As for the videos, I use simulations such as DCS Wordl and World Thunder (the latter not exactly a proper simulation but you know what I mean). I program the scenes in the mission editor, play them, capture the video and so on.
