Since they are considered to be the toughest to get in plus for a few schools, I think you first need a citizenship as well. Also, how do people manage two loans if they are going for residency right out of DDS?
Sure. Will definitely try. One can defer loans from DDS so basically you start paying after you graduate from residency. In the mean time interest will keep accruing.

Hello, After finishing residency as a foreign dentist (without having DMD/ DDS degree), one can only practice in those few stares for 5 states or can join academics in any states immediately? Thanks in advance.

You will need a US citizen/Permanent resident to co-sign your loan. Without that it will be difficult to finance your education. Other option is to take education loan from India. However, interest rates will be higher.

It is one of the most difficult specialty to get in. You have to first get in to DDS, after there is another entrance exam you need to clear to apply for OMFS. So far I have not come across anyone doing OMFS residency on a student visa.
From the limited knowledge I have about Canada - your MDS won't be valid in Canada. However, you can extract teeth, do disimpaction, implants, etc on a general license which you get through DDS/equivalency route. You will have to repeat OS in Canada/USA if you want to practice as a specialist. Again, may want to consult someone who has a prior experience or check Canadian dental licensure website to get accurate information. Good luck.

This depends on an individual. If you put in 8-10 hrs of studies it is possible. Few people need more time to study compared to others. So take your decision accordingly. Even if you give INBDE - it should be okay. Good luck.

@@sagaragarwal2814 ADEA PASS website for residency programs. If you are interested in OS - it will be highly competitive. If you are not a US citizen- you will need a miracle to get in.
