You Hawks fans always so delutional thinking theres so much value for your guys. Hunter has very little value with how he playing and the deal he is on in Today's NBA. He is worth like 3 second round picks at best. They cant trade him cause they cant get value back for a guy with no demand for

Hunter had his chances before. He is injury prone, he is inconsistency. He maybe blossom at other teams. He should have find his game times at other teams. He is not a big player, he does not live up to his ceiling, even him improved his three points made percentage at last season.

Dude these are bad trades and some what one sided on the hawk side you can't make a trade that only favors the hawks the grizzlies are trying to win a championship they brought smart there for a reason and murray is a good small forward who is going to be better than hunter on a rookie contract who is healthy

I agree with some of your statements but some don't hold water. Trae's usage is down and many of the elite players in the playoffs have higher usage. #2 Trae's playing style wasn't an issue when the Hawks went to the Eastern Conference Finals. What's happened since that point? The Celtics, Knicks, Pacers, Heat and Sixers all have made major moves to improve their rosters. The Hawks simply have less talent than these teams and the smallest team in the NBA. If the roster around Trae is upgraded then we can have a legitimate debate but until then he is a scapegoat.

LeVert loved by many fans. He was admitted to hospital due to kidney stones problems. He made a strong come back from that. I loved him. The problem is the chemistry for the Hawks.

We played the Mavericks this year without Deandre and Luka scored 71 points. We played them again later in the Season with Dre and Luka barely socred 20. On a team With Trae Young, getting rid of DeAndre would be franchice suicide.
@ATLSportsZone
@ATLSportsZone 4 месяца назад
Understand where you coming from but Dre really hasn’t been that consistent player we need. Half the season he’s hurt, the other half he’s not productive. I really like the idea of Hunter but it hasn’t materialized. Also Luka is going to Luka no matter who you put on him. Ask the Timberwolves who has a team of elite defenders.

As much as I respect Trae Young the Hawks can't keep trading off players as if they are the problem. The problem is Trae Young's reluctance to play a team game. I am no longer defending him. Trade Jalen Johnson while they at it because he doesn't fit with a ball dominant player. Players will be relieved to get out of Atlanta because no one wants to play with him. Bring in yet another injury-prone player like Brandon Ingram, got it!
@bigowiththejam4333
@bigowiththejam4333 4 месяца назад
De'Andre Hunter was drafted higher than Trae Young. Dre has been the problem the whole time. We've been waiting around for him these past five years to become that two-way star that we need. I had high hopes for Dre this season. And what does he do?He loses his starting job to Saddiq Bey. The dude is useless. Say what you want about Trae. He already said he doesn't need to be the number one option. That was supposed to be Dre. It's time for him to go.
@Dave-nm8uf
@Dave-nm8uf 4 месяца назад
@@bigowiththejam4333 Let's start here. Trae Young did say that he doesn't have to be the number one option but I did not believe that for one second. Why? Because shortly after a very, very short sample size he went back to having his hand out after literally every defensive rebound which is why I love when JJ gets a rebound be cause he ignores Trae and brings the ball up himself. Every player on the Hawks is useless. Why? Because the ball stay glued to one player's hands. Actually, Saddiq Bey is a better fit than Dre because he is supposedly a spot up shooter even though he can't shoot. First John Collins was the problem, now it is Dre. Who will be next? Oh, my bad, Murray is actually to blame as well. The one common denominator is Trae Young in his refusal to play off the ball. The system that the coach runs is garbage and it is predictable. I suspect these players are tired of covering for Trae on defense. They are literally guarding two players and having to scramble all the time. The players often look lost. No matter what player(s) comes to Atlanta nothing will change.
@ericj2239
@ericj2239 4 месяца назад
You know you are continuing a false narrative. Outside of bringing in DJ Murray and Bey all the Hawks have done is shed salary. The front office failed to continue to upgrade the roster after making the ECF. How is that Trae's fault. Where is Lou Will and Gallo's replacements, where is John Collins and Kevin Heurters replacement? Stop blaming Trae Young for the front offices inability to improve the team and fear of entering the luxury tax.
@ericj2239
@ericj2239 4 месяца назад
@@Dave-nm8uf I can't believe you guys continue blaming Trae Young for an inept front office who failed to upgrade the roster in a significant way after making the Eastern Conference Finals. The top teams in the East all have made major moves to upgrade thier roster while the Hawks continue to shed salary to avoid the Luxary tax. How is that Trae Youngs fault?
@Dave-nm8uf
@Dave-nm8uf 4 месяца назад
@@ericj2239 Let me be clear about one thing. I am not a blame Trae guy. In fact, I am among the few who support him including the trade that took place six years ago. I believe that Trae has more than held his own in that trade by himself. I wanted to get that out of the way because there is this notion that if someone talks negative about Trae, that they are some kind of hater or something. That definitely doesn't apply to me. My criticism of Trae comes from a good place and is constructive criticism. I have been called fanboy and that stuff. My issue with Trae is his reluctance or refusal to play off the ball; thus allowing his teammates to feel apart of the offense. His ball dominant style has a ceiling to it and it will not work with the Hawks. The Hawks are really wasting valuable time trying to build the perfect team around Trae when it just ain't going to happen. It is hard to build around a 6-0 PG who does not play defense. You can only cover for that to a point and trading players is not the answer either. You can say what you want about the FO and I won't push back that about them but this notion that they are cheap is not supported by the facts. Let me know if this is cheap: Trae 43M, Murray 25M, Bogi 18M, Dre 18M, Okongwu 18M, and Capela 22M. That is not cheap my friend. They are about 5M from the luxury Tax and there is no way in hell if I'm the owner am I willing to pay the luxury tax for a play-in game type of team. It doesn't make financial sense. Back to Trae. There is a possibility that he may not know how to play without the ball in his hands. Right now the Hawks are predicable which is why the Heat was successful in beating the Hawks because they always knew where the ball was. Trae is a very talented basketball player and no one can deny that but he is lacking something that is preventing him from becoming a complete basketball player. Perhaps he lacks leadership and if that is the case, fine, there is nothing wrong with that per se. I don't see the gravity that he has with teammates. I have been a Hawks fan for over forty years and I refuse to be married to any player that comes across the Hawks organization. I will not advocate for trading him but something has to give because this mediocrity is getting old.

Where is Lou Will and Gallos replacement? JJ is a 3-4 John Collins was a 4-5 two different positions with two different skillsets. You don't build a championship roster by getting rid of players without bringing in similar or better talent. What moves did the Hawks make last offseason to improve the roster?

@Beniii71
@Beniii71 4 месяца назад
I agree, I think we need to keep our wings, that’s literally why we lost so many games was because our forward depth was so poor. It seems like trading Hunter is the opposite of what the team needs to do, we need more wings move some of those pointless undersized 3s, sign some depth like TJ Warren for cheap. If we keep Trae we need to surround him with size, if we get Ingram in a Murray deal keep Hunter and play Ingram at the SG
