My father Dennis Pritchard used to fly his Chipmunk into Shoreham, from where he kept it at Biggin Hill, in 1966, G-APPM. Finished in silver. He thought highly of the aircraft. He flew by it with his new Wassmer Baladou in 1967, G-AVEU. Thanks for sharing the video. Shoreham airport is in a unique setting. A wonderful example of Art Deco.
Lovely Aeroplane, I was lucky enough to fly in that very aircraft from Shoreham for a 20 min local aerobatic flight. It's probably one of the nicest Chippies out there. Thanks for posting.
Thanks Jason, there used to be two or three based at Shoreham Airport up until a couple of years ago, I use to see them almost everyday fly over our house, cracking sight but they have gone now. Thanks for stopping by, my pleasure. I am glad you enjoyed the video :)
Thanks Viper. We are so lucky as the airfield almost at the back of our garden, Shoreham Airport has a fantastic two day airshow each summer including some classics from the last war, Spitfires, Hurricanes, Messerschmitt Bf 109's, Mustangs,, a B17, a Lancaster plus numerous other types from WW1 and WW2. The best of it is I get to see it for free lol. I will try and put a video together this year so I can share it on RU-vid.
