I always liked the twin boom concept. Seemed strong. Have models of the P-38 and De Havilland Vampire. The Sea Vixen is new to me. It is one of the most beautiful planes I have ever seen. I think it is a lot to design a jet thats wings fold up to stack tight on an aircraft carrier. Your model is amazing, it flies great and landed on rough grass terrain very gracefully. I still think it was a good design.
Now that's the difference between true skill and a Big Boy's Toy! True aeromodelling in every sense. Well Done both Kerry and Dave. Great piloting. Dom. Not to shabby on the camera work too!!
-Despite working at RR for over 30 years (or perhaps because of it) I'm not a fan of gas turbine powered aircraft -1930s style is more my bag - but this is absolutely stunning in both its build (2 years!) and the way and how it flies. What an achievement! There are times when I wonder why I bother in the face of so much talent. Envious? Moi? :) Beautiful aeroplane and beautifully flown. Thanks - the filming was pretty good, too.
Really enjoyed this one Dom! Incredible skill, dedication and patience exhibited by the builder!! What an amazing, usual and elegant aircraft!! Last and certainly not least, an excellent flight by the display pilot!
Wow a 2 year build, but mind you a great looking scale version. Dose remind me of the de Havilland Venom. Heart was in my mouth for the landing. Great stuff Dom. 👍🏻
