In preparation for a full-scale reimagining of the Gardiner Museum's ground floor galleries, our staff undertook the painstaking process of moving our collections from the ground floor galleries to a temporary storage space on the third floor. This involved carefully removing each object from its case, packing it for transportation, documenting its condition, and establishing a tracking system to ensure each piece is accounted for.
Postdoctoral fellow Juliana Ramírez Herrera is curating the re-installation of the Ancestral Americas collection and conducting research on its provenance.
