A lot of people have been asking for a De La Soul sample video so here you go. I've not included drum samples or small vocal samples are there are far too many. Some classic tracks on here. Could easily make a Part 2.

That album invented 1989 sophisticated sampling. But do not forget the albums of bestie boys, jungle brothers, 3rd bass and digital underground. These 5 albums defined in that year what is possible with sampling

Prince Paul made MAJOR production contributions to hip hop! He definitely doesn't get the recognition he deserves. His name should be mentioned in the conversation of great producers. Another great vid👍🏽😁!

Great work lots of effort. I love taking these samples that I grew up to in the music of hip hop I grew up to in the eighties and nineties and when I remake something with these samples nobody even of the older generations from our generation catches it they say that sounds fantastic like they lost their memory like it's the Mandela effect and I say nothing I let them enjoy it.

Wow shout-out to De La Soul the most talented hip hop group in the modern era. Their music brings up what old school music is all about. The samplings of different artists from Otis Redding,Bob Marley's to the great Michael Jackson. This group is not overrated nor underrated but bringing in funk

First record I ever got was 3 Feet High and Rising. My mum gave it to me from her personal collection, she got it in the 80s as a teenager and gave it to me when I was around 14. That album will always hold a special place in my heart!

In a recent interview with Sway Universe, Posdnous revealed that Breakadawn was actually arranged and produced by him. By their 3rd album (Buhlun Mind State) they had been moving away from Prince Paul and creating thier own style (fewer skits, darker songs).
