Drying:
1. Place the demoulded casting on a flat surface, allowing air to circulate around it.
2. Allow the casting to air dry slowly and naturally. Avoid direct sunlight, heat, or drafts, as these can cause warping or cracking.
3. For small castings, drying can take several days to a week. Larger castings may take several weeks or even months to dry completely.
4. To speed up the drying process, you can use a fan to circulate air or place the casting in a warm, dry room (not exceeding 30°C/86°F).
5. Monitor the casting's moisture levels by checking its weight or looking for a change in color. When fully dry, the casting will be lightweight and have a uniform color.
Tips:
· To prevent cracking, ensure the casting dries slowly and evenly.
· Avoid exposing the casting to high humidity or water during the drying process.
· If you need to speed up the drying process, consider using a dehumidifier or a drying cabinet.
