The pipe organ is an instrument I've always been fascinated by. Recently I started to explore several types of organs for minimalist dronelike pieces of music. Because I didn't have the opportunity to travel to all these
organs I am using the awesome virtual organs of the Virtual Organ Company. I tried to write music for the particular sound and sound possibilities of different pipe organs. In some cases I used electronics to shape the sound of the organ, tools developed by Groupe de Recherches Musicales in Paris originally for musique concrète and sound design.
