I like your video! You explain how to use them clearly. Even though I'm a native Chinese speaker, sometimes it really confuses me as well. Do you recommend any books for native Chinese speakers to read and know more about the Chinese language? If yes, please leave a comment below and I'd like to know it! Thanks a lot! 🙂

For the 地and 得sentence,it's actually adjective+地+verb and verb+地+adjective. In your viedo, you said it's adverb+地+verb The word 高兴is adjective;高兴地is adverb
@qianfeizhou8265
@qianfeizhou8265 Год назад
Thank you for your comments, however, Chinese word cannot be simply identified with its grammatical nature sometimes, in your example, 高兴 alone could be verb, adjective, adverb. For example, 我高兴吃, means I feel happy to eat. It’s a verb, 我玩得高兴, means I happily play, it’s an adverb, 我觉得很高兴, means I feel very happy, it’s an adjective. Therefore, to make things easier to learners and avoid unnecessary confusion, we decide to make it consistent with its exact grammatical nature of the words in the sentence. But thank you for your consideration.

Your videos are fabulous but there is something I can’t get my head around. Some sentences referring to locations seem “normal”: - The coffee shop is next to the dorm, not inside. (咖啡店在宿舍的旁邊、不在裡面) Sometimes it gets harder: - The swimming pool is behind the library, not in front.(游泳池在圖書館的後面、不在前面) And sometimes it makes no sense: - He and his friend are at the coffee shop behind the library.(他和朋友在圖書館後面的咖啡店) I also struggle with the following phrases: - in front of the house (房子的前面) - the house in front (前面的房子)

please watch my video about “Adjective Clause”. It will make more sense after you watch it. In short: 面 / 边 = side 前面 = front side B 的前面 = B’s front side 在 B的前面 = at B’s front side 前面的 B = B that is in the front side (Adj. Clause)

4:12 idk but this may be the same as well. Sevin[erek] YE = Eat happily/Eat while being happy (happiness is not the result, it's the process) Yiy[erek] SEVİN = Be happy with eating (happiness is the result of eating) Sevin = be(ing) happy Ye = eat(ing) -erek = literally de得/地
