This was the first single I ever bought when I was 13 years ago. These ladies have great taste and do the song justice. Did I hear the start of Whole Lotta Love at the end of the video?
The one thing I keep being surprised of (to say the least) is all public walking by. If I saw you ladies, I would instantly forget my duties for what I was in the city for and spent the rest of the afternoon watching you and enjoying the music. Happy holidays and a better new year from the Netherlands.
Take from an old rocker. You guys are fantastic. It takes guts to cover rock/blues icons bc you're wide open to criticism from fans who know every note. But, you guys nail it.
Especially early-era Peter. Only ever got to see him a few time after his 'return', by which time he had lost that wonderful way of using stabs of soloing interspersed with silence. His later Robert Johnson phase became excellent, but for me it's his early work with Mayall and then his own group that I've always loved. The last time I saw him perform was in Harrogate when he reunited with Mayall. I totally agree with your comment about these young women - their entire repertoire is worth watching.
Mary Chapin Carpenter wrote a song about these two: "Girls With Guitars" -- Wynonna Judd Songwriter: Mary Chapin Carpenter ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fGsn18mhPk0.html This cover is AMAZING, by the way.
Congratulations ladies!! ONE MILLION VIEWS!!! This video will always be special to me because it's how I discovered your band!! Rock on, Dea Matrona!! 🤘🔥✌️
As an aging musician, I think I can leave music in capable hands 👍😁. Brilliant stuff girls - from one old enough to remember when that record was released!! Keep it live!!!🎶🎵🕶️🎸🎹🎺🎵🎸🕶️🎹🎶🎶🎶🎵
As another oldie myself may I suggest you check out Taj Farrant. 11 years old reincarnation of a blue musician. No disrespect to this channel. Great job ladies.
With so much dross around these days it's wonderful to see youngsters like these three, clear aficionados of music that matters and is timeless. Well done kids.
Man, I'd go over to Ireland just to watch you all perform. So good and talented, and such fun energy. Keep up the great work, as always. Happy Holidays from the U.S.
It almost brings a tear to my eyes when I see this young female trio pumping out Rock covers that were pinnacle of my youth when the songs were released by the original artists. Best part is that they are exuberant, involved and obviously having fun doing what they are doing.
@@anvilbrunner.2013 I naught bemoan a thing. I have a respectable social life, and it does not include youngsters who still have their life ahead of them. I've been married, fathered children, and then separated from marriage, because work demanded my time. I have no regrets. I paid for my children's education. They in turn developed into their own careers and managed marriages and families better than I have. I only date women closer to my age who are single, divorced, or widowed. Women who are independent, strong, and understand that they are just as capable if not more capable in the professional fields as physicians, surgeons, CEOs, Captains of Industry, Lawyers, scientists, and business owners. I respect and have always respected the feminist movement. They have been oppressed since the dawn of time of sentient homo sapiens. Males have dominated purely by brute mass for millennia. They have had to, because males have always feared how ferocious and dangerous a female can be in the defense of their kit and kin. Ergo, males have been physically and emotionally been suppressing the female power of independence with male ego and physical mass for all of time. They even use the scriptures to point out that it was the folly of Eve being seduces by the serpent who in turn seduced Adam to partake of the forbidden fruit. So it is so decided that Eve was the reason that they were removed from the Garden of Eden. Well, if that were the case. What everyone is failing to recognize is that was the designed plan all along. If it was not the designed plan. None of use would even exist here today to debate the issue. Then there is the Big Bang Theory which astronomers explain how the universe began, which sort of feeds into Charles Darwin's Theory of Evolution that we all evolved from natural selection, and on top of that there is the theory that we all started in the Primordial Soup also known as the Prebiotic Broth, otherwise simple organisms such as an amoeba that could split, and each split entity could move to an environment and adapt and develop to the conditions of that environment, and eventually slither out of the soup, and continue to adapt. Yet here we are today, and frankly we have the free will to choose what to believe. Well, I choose not to believe most of it, because none of us were there to validate what actually happened at any given time, and certainly anything written has to be taken with a grain of salt. Truth only comes through hands on research discovery, and experience. One is not permitted to assume that I have any physical, or fleeting attraction to these young lasses. All they are doing is paying homage to my generation, and all I am doing is showing respectful appreciation for their artistic efforts. None of us knows what they will be doing 10 years from now. We can only hope they continue their musical pursuits, but they may also end up being engineers, producers, or go back to college and become software analysts, dental hygienists, or physicians. The young are capable of anything. They have time to make their choices and decide their paths. I would not dare interfere with that. Another thing, with age comes wisdom, but that wisdom can be tainted by abuse of heavy use of alcohol and drugs. Thus, I have managed to go through life without the suffering of being addicted to either alcohol or drugs. Now, that does not mean I did not partake. I would be a liar if I said I did not. The trick is moderation. Alcohol murders brain cells. One needs those brain cells for the expansion of stored data, knowledge, information of education, and the memories of experiences that one can recall in practical need. How many people do you actually think get on the internet with a clear, untainted mind? I will tell you. Less than 5%. Now the 95% is not solely made up of those who are intoxicated or stoned, but rather the majority are those with mental health issues, whether they are aware they have them or not. Why? Because denial is the greatest antithesis to the recognition of mental health disorders no matter how minor or severe they may be. For example, a person who actually suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder, because of said disorder, is completely incapable of accepting that they have such a disorder. Why? Because a genuine Narcissist is only capable of seeing one's self as the epitome of perfection and self love. They are living with in an inner dimension and they expect those within their inner circle to place them upon a pedestal and idolize them, and adore them. If they fail to do that, then the narcissist will fire, dismiss them, divorce them, replace them and not let them back in. Yet society points fingers at others and mistakenly refer to them as being narcissists, but they are not narcissists at all. They are either egoists or egotists. Which boils down to being social bullies. What confuses the issues is that their behavior has been identified as narcissistic traits. Sorry, a trait is not a symptom. It is a similarity.
@@anvilbrunner.2013 As I have stated to others. It is your choice or rather prerogative to read my comments. You do not have to. You are not either required nor obligated to do so. Equally, you are not required or obligated to respond. Totally up to you. I am not talking, I am writing. My lips are not moving, no sound is being projected. I am not vocalizing. I write completely free style and unrehearsed. I consider that a gift.
Good craic indeed! I am flabbergasted and need help getting my jaw off the ground. What a great vibe you girls have. This was a stunning rendition of a great classic, you have something special.
Bands are no longer signed for organic talent or merit, but groomed trained assigned handlers, given prearranged scripts and music rules and orders to follow....... Is that what you mean?
Yesssss! That’s what Im talking about , pure class 👌, How you when right into the solo ,,, I live for that kind of playing , It’s a edgy song when Peter green played it however your way has gave it more edge without diminishing the quality of the original Play , the doors wild child maybe one time , it would suit your style ,, I love your work
Brilliant! Great sound for busking - almost as though you had a sound techy with you! Hope 2021 gives you even more opportunities! Thanks for all your vids in 2020 which brightened mine and other peoples lives at a time when we all needed it!
To see a bunch of young talented musicians not only "get it"" but "deliver it" with such conviction is so encouraging. I lived in Belfast in the late 60's early 70's and heard some of the best blues/rhythm and blues I have heard in the world. Rock on Belfast!!!
I always wonder what the original artist would think about a cover of their song. I this case I think Peter Green would approve overwhelmingly. You ladies did a great job.
