There shall be no happiness and groovin here . Have a crummy day Sr. Look down at your cellphone and fall in line ... Jeez . Does this guy even know ? Us citizens are to look down at our cellphone at all times . Even walking down the street .
Laws are only created to stop people doing things that are detrimental to other people. Laws don’t create criminals. They bring them to light. They were always there to begin with.
Musicians are being forced to play on the streets because clubs won't pay them anymore. This is great playing and excellent street music. Artists should be cherished and encouraged not treated like vagabonds. Shame on them and their policing guidelines.
I was born in Dortmund, Markus and I am so sorry about these stupid laws. I wish there would be more amazing artists like you in this city. Very well handled and I am glad the locals supported you. Stay safe and keep on rocking!
Sorry, but the stupid one is you. The law is correct, because if one person has the right to play in the street, everyone would have it. Now imagine 10 artists playing on the same street or in all places! It would be anarchy. Musicians should have their own place, that's all.

@sdrtcacgnrjrc I 'always' use the word 'never' when I'm composing letters, news articles, computer codes, or anything that is written. Always. 🤪🤪
It should be forbidden to interrupt such good music. Unfortunately, the same in many cities . I had this kind of experience in Paris. So sad. Love your style and your play. Keep on man , your are amazing !
I have been a street performer for 40 years and I remember when the cops were nice to us...now they are stormtroopers. Too bad because this dude rocks!
This man was bringing joy to everyone and they stopped by to say no more. This was a very sad situation. People who need to be happy and enjoying music they love and i will say that you handled it very professionally. God bless you and keep going on with your joy of playing music for everyone else to see and hear your music and videos. Thank you so much for bringing this to everyone and to see people laughing and smiling when you play music. Great work.
Brother, I'm a cop and if I had orders to shut you down, I'd be in trouble. Also a musician, and would at the very least have helped you find a spot where you could jam. Just discovered you now. Nice work man! From Canada :)
I have absolutely no problem with the authorities. Just doing their job. They are usually very respectful and in some cases give me some clues as to how I can continue, unofficially of course ;)
@@lebe220 😂Stimmt soweit.
cut the amp and everything is fine ... relateable that you may not just go into public places and blast whatever music you prefer through your speakers ... especially an amplified bass line can be heard from huge distances and is quite a nuisance to lots of ppl.
It's the other way around. People have become entitled and uncaring about anybody else. Deeming that the rules do not apply to them and ignoring the fact that they live in a society on a shared planet.
@@rumpelpumpel7687 What a stupid law. Amplifier amplifier strife. A small Bluetooth speaker is also amplified, but it does not sound louder than a guitar or flute. There have been volume meters for a long time and it was possible to limit the gain levels in db in the law, and not stupidly ban all amplifiers, an amplifier is absolutely necessary for an electric guitar and a synthesizer.
@@Nick--Name And how necessary exactly is an electric guitar in a pedestrian area/on a public square? stupid law says you. Nice law say a lot of people enjoying a rather soothing silence. There is enough noise in the world already, it's good that there are laws in place to protect privacy. In this case, protect us from unnecessary noises booming through the streets. And you can easily ask for permission/approval to play music in the pedestrian area of any city if you're a musician or street artist. The thing is ... if you dont, you cant complain when you're told to turn it of. Otherwise every road and ally will soon be blasting music 24/7. We dont want that here. We love it quiet and peacefull ... kinda like hobbits ;)
@@rumpelpumpel7687 I think this should be decided by the residents of the nearest houses. People should not forget that they are direct power and the source of any power, including the source of police power, they should not give all regulation to law enforcement agencies, otherwise a significant part of the power of the people will be seized and people will fall into slaves. I think people there themselves are able to negotiate and call the same police if someone is too noisy. In the same case, people liked it and it was not too loud and too unpleasant, I didn’t see any dissatisfied, but the police completely formally approached the law and executed it more to the detriment than good, I cited the evidence above.
Ps. Chciałbym abyś kiedyś wystąpił w Polsce, latem na ulicy Monte Casino w Sopocie i na starym mieście w Gdańsku. Jest tam wspaniała atmosfera.😊❤
Because he does it for himself and his love of music ... If he was doing it for fame or money he would look and sound like everyone else, every one else that are safe investments on every other record label/production studio/media website etc ... If he was famous he wouldnt sound the same trying to make all the execs or algorithms happy. (Edit) Salieri died famous, but Mozart, who died penniless is remembered ... Go figure
As a Break Dancer who has performed many times in the streets and a big J J Cale fan too, seeing your great setup, performance and hearing your fantastic version, was like sweet nectar to my eyes and ears. Respect, peace and love!
Offensichtlich NICHT in Deutschland. It's sad, cause it's true.
I just came across & subscribed to your channel, FANTASTIC. I love the Blues. JJ Cale is a legend. His work with Leon Russell & his songwriting is the work of a genius. Helluva tribute CD Eric Clapton did for JJ.
In Poland, you may simply need to make an official request at the city hall, and most likely pay some kind of fee, it's how it works for Krakow's main square. It's all about money! 🤷
Doppel Daumen hoch!!!!
Thank you coppers! With you guys around , the world will be safe from vicious artists and we'll never be able to enjoy great music . 😂😂😂. Thanks for the music Markus❤❤❤❤.
What excellent music and how much love this person gives with his music. Too bad there are people who do not give themselves to love. I hope and one day they understand what they do wrong. Although that would be very sad for them.
@@larsengstfeld6744 Do like the Romans do, that polizei all he had to do is tell Markus to just put the volume down a notch. You can feel they were on a call , a mission🚁 probably from the city central camera station. Tear down the wall ,🗿,
@@deanl0 - street music is free and allowed in Dortmund, just don't use amplifiers, that‘s all. Allas, you should also consider that not all citizens are delighted by loud sounds.
Absolutely love your sound brother 🎶✊🏻 I grew up on the streets and learnt my craft in music and song busking in many cities over many years. I was stopped by the police and mall cops lots of times. It would get pretty competitive between buskers at times but I never used an amplifier and was always happy when if someone did they would get shut down first and let the rest of us be heard at a reasonable distance from each other. Plenty of venues available for great artists like yourself, but sorry, no amps, band in a box or pa systems and no marketing on the streets please. All the best man.🎶👍
What? So we should be forced to hear a bunch of crap musicians with no amps? Booooo!!! This guys isn't just busking, he's creating real art. If I want to organize a protest and shut down the streets thats allowed... but playing music that brings people together isn't?
I went to Dortmund in 1999 Christmas time and it was fantastic.I never knew warm red wine was a thing! The Christmas festival was beautiful with some beautiful crafts and an outrageous Christmas Tree.
I found the 'ordnungsamt' to be much more proactive in Germany than the police. I was putting on a bubble show at the cathedral in Berlin and there was a police car sat about 20 meters away for half an hour, the police were sat watching and smiling, then along came the ordnungsamt and demanded my ID, told me I wasn't allowed to do this and started questioning me about how much money I had made and what I had in my backpack. The police in Köln were really nice when I mistakenly performed out of hours (It's a weird system there where you can perform on the hour for half an hour and then need to move 200m and can't start again until the next hour). After speaking to them they said it would be okay to set up about 50m away for the next show as suitable locations for what I do are often limited. Great experience overall in Germany and would recommend it to any busker, just be aware that every city has different rules. They are also a heavily cash oriented society conducting a lot more of their day to day transactions with it than many other countries which is obviously great for us.
In this case the law let themselves down badly, the only axe this man yields is a 6string...and he sure knows how to play it..Respect him.......ps I met and spoke with JJ Cale, he filled me in on his custom Harmony gtr, Rory Gallagher took part in the chat, he was also curious about JJs guitar set up...Respect the busker..
City where I live just passed a noise ordinance. We have several outside pubs that had live music. We aren't talking heavy metal bands at volume 11. They never played after 10pm so they were respectful. No more, now I ride my bicycle down main street and it's deserted and silent. Congrats on turning a fun and lively place into a ghost town.
