I have watched this episode many times. When Doug told Carrie about it and he asked so if I spent time with a woman I used to know and didn’t tell you that would be cheating? I think he should’ve asked it the other way around I.e. so if you have been spending time with another man and didn’t tell me you’d feel like you cheated? And if she still says yes like that you know it’s true.

It’s crazy how some ppl won’t write this off as cheating lmao. It most definitely is. I know ppl who can’t grasp concepts like this (old college teammates, high school friends) and they’re disproportionally always the ones having relationship problems….😂 If Deacon felt like it wasn’t cheating, he’d have told his wife about it and not have felt the need to hide it. Simple. If you don’t understand this , you got no business being in a relationship… Leave ppl’s hearts alone. I don’t know everyone’s relationship dynamics though, as long as you’re okay with your partner going out and having lunch with old flings behind your back….. then I’ll happily rest my case 👍 (cue all the rationalizing cheaters coming for my neck, lmao)

It would have being more logical that he would have just bump into his sweetheart love that ran away with his best friend and he just married Kelly because she got pregnant after being a rebound girl, and that this ex told him he always loved him and was sorry and was confused....instead of being a regular cheater

Ok, this was nonsense! Didn't work at all with the way they had created Deacon. It's important to address the topic of marital issues ad family separations but turning the character of Deacon Palmer into a cheater? Out of nowhere? And so stupidly that he would take his affair to a public restaurant in his and his friends' neighborhood? - That whole plotline just felt too forced and constructed.

When Doug is watching the baseball to look out for deacon, that's the time deacon dating that foreign woman before she leaves to go back to her country. That's when Doug and Carrie break into his apartment and tell him that she slept with the kids' doctor. Now, she wants him back. She mentions the doctor's name, and that's when Deacon broke one of the dishes
