heavily relies on team play yet doesn't let you pick the team, would have played this way more if it wasn't such a pain in the ass to get in the same team as my friends. One or 2 friends is still fine, but if your squad is more than 4 people, then it's just painful.
Fun fact: the waifu anime Admiral actually died prior to the events of DA and she also died by a 20 mm cannon round from a fighter 6:26 ironically, this happened more recently so it makes sense why skit wouldn’t know

You should probably do a skit review on zeppelin wars,a pretty underrated game. I won't spoil the fun as I want you to rate this game. I am around lvl 43 in the game BTW been playing for almost longer then my brain can process what's happening in a skirmish round.
If you want more insight on the lore you should look into the WW1 based combat game "Centaura" Which takes place around 20-30 years before the events of Dead Ahead. Both games are from the "Centaura" universe and are made by the same developer.
One issue that needs light to shed on is the grinding system. It gives no incentive to go that extra mile in effort to winning as the guy who afk'ed would get the same 100 or 50 credit reward. The devs do know this and HOPEFULLY something is done
Fun fact: Tau is actually refered as a Blood line according to "Dead Ahead:Background Lore" so I don't know her real name but her family name is Tau an Imperial Born child However: she has mixed opinions from haters and fans of Tau
if your not a fan of tau, good for you since there is a tutorial and known orion character called Gunnery sergeant Jackson, a known drill sergeant and he is always a instructor on tutorial. Fun fact: he is popular among people who hate Maya Tau and anti shipgirl fans

But you hear him again because my theory is that he is the one that announces to the server when an Orion ship gets sunk but I don't know who it is when an anteres ship gets sunk as it's sounds too much of a male to be Tau and we don't really see any other officers in the anteres armada so :p.
Dead ahead's only cons is that our crews are children and can't aim nor steer ships properly example, a 100% 8 year old child sends a battleship straight on, that left the crucial rear turret unable to aim at the ship and world of war ship players will probably aim their guns to the moon to hit a 800m target

@@BradKesalowski And what else are the DDs meant to do? They are made to harrass the enemy unmanned ships, and when they finally die (the DDs) their crew (mostly of 3-4) can go and help on the bigger ships.

New Atoll is way harder, but still better than the single flag King Of The Hill style gameplay of the old one. I hate getting absolutely decimated by enemy aircraft while trying to defend the flag. And the battleships? Well, their turrets need only point one direction.
My favorite strat is rushing with destroyer, always works if you have at least a few crew. We always managed to hit at least a battleship/carrier/cruiser

Three officers were injured from blast shrapnel and two others died, including Maya. The after-action report describes Maya and the other deceased being hit directly by the 37mm shells. Her head was blown apart, with the other dead officer having been exploded in half by a 37mm blast. The bridge was strewn with blood and human organs. Aran Tau did not receive the news lightly, and the anti-aircraft crew was executed for friendly fire. Kaden Tau did not hear of his sister’s death until the complete capture of Yishen. 1:26 The weird thing about the Antares anime waifu mascot is that in the game's lore, she got KIA'd by a 20mm round about a decade before the game takes place... So, it's really fucking weird from a lore perspective for Antares to use a dead naval officer (who was also the emperor's daughter or something) as a propaganda mascot. 💀

During dreadnought and skirmish, i always wanted to get on the island but in skirmish, i always pick the fighter and recon plane, there aren't anymore, i would choose to get on a island. Its really rare for players to just try to get on a island but hey you don't have to do anything except your enemy still fires deserters
literally half of the jokes in dead ahead is basically: “HEY GUYS YOU SEE HOW THE ORION FLAG LOOKS LIKE A DORITO HAHAHAHAAHAHHABAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH”
honestly i liked the more complex version of the rangefinder, if you actually have a good team in lets say a discord vc then it would be more challenging and fun but hey, the simplified version works better for playing with a team full of 8 or 9 year olds

the games cool but everyone just spawns on the carrier as soon as the game starts and rushes for the plane spawns. and then "woops" all the planes are dead, Everyone go on the battleship now!!! Oh battleship is dead, Everyone go on the destroyer, oh the destroyers dead !!!! everyone go on the cruiser and the same happens on both teams most of the time lol. if there was just simply a crew limit to each ship that would be nice
REALLY late but.. the anime waifu (aka Maya Tau), got killed by an Anti-aircraft crew trying to head a plane and accidentally firing into the AIS Maroon.
When i played atoll, i really both like and hate it, the lack of teamwork and players eager for planes in carriers causes their team to lose since not enough people are fighting for the island. But i liked it since sometimes you can use planes to fight and push the fight, sometimes fighter planes can be used to force and deny any enemy bomber trying to take off from atoll
Exactly, a lot of people here are smart enough to know what's "good" but aren't smart enough for good communication and coordination. I don't remember a time when I'd be bombing the enemy alongside my other Heavy Bomber teammates.
@@mignonne_ somehow i found a weird moment when you just land any island near the center of atoll, there is a ocean between those outer islands and innder islands, making them useful as a useful landing craft d day without wasting time, at a cost of being vulnerable to gunboats and other ships that has cannons
Imagine if Dead Ahead Made battles for Other nations as in the lore, Antares and Orion r not the only ones having issues with one another, so maybe They could add More battles that include Other Confrontation between Other countries, or maybe Antares and Orion's allies Joining the battles, cuz In the lore too, it is said some of the nations joined The Antearean-Orion War
I think you should play the game battle sails, it’s a good and very polish game that is similar to trade lands, with actual moving water and waves, and also with the amazingly detailed ships
I once got kicked from a game because I forgot how to rangefind, I was about to get a massive hit on a enemy (Turret Magazine spot) before the captain turned away so I couldnt fire.
@@freerbx793 Yes there is a major faction part of the game that's run by the TTS-UFA, and we also have lore, but it's lore is not that aggressively implemented, it's kind of just in the game and is seen in the discord server for TTS
I remember a match today where like almost all of our ships was boom rushed by planes then finished off with 2 destroyers and 1 got sank as the after match after we lost was: 0 Antares ships 3 Orion ships
the name tags serve one purpose finding ennemy and allied ships now yes i get there are flags and different designs but it gets quite foggy when u look that far
There is another game similar to this called naval Warfare it has something similar to this where you have to destroy the enemies Harbour you can play as the Japanese or the Americans and there are three islands that can help you you spawn of an aircraft carrier and a battleship and if you lose them it makes it a lot harder to win the only way to get them back if they buy a game pass to spawn your own there's even a remastered version of naval Warfare that has a similar style to dead ahead
Idea: Zeplin wars review. It has 4 gamemodes, a land based one, a battle between 2 normal air ships, a battle between 2 pairs of light air ships and a battle between 2 massive zeplins. It's alot like DAh but with boardings and god damn 1 hit melee's. Similar to DAh but different in afew key ways: Things go up as well as forwards and backwards.

I would love a campaign where should can command troops and ships the biggest difference to combat it the no player other than you unless they are multiplayer oh yeah they should add tech trees and you need to look after captured places or they will gain indopendence

Every time skirmish has an aircraft carrier, almost everyone rushes to it and uses the excuse “I main pilot.” Nobody ever becomes a crew member during Phoenix or skirmish or stronghold, either
epic history fact: during ww1 dreadnoughts were actual ships and were extremely expensive to build and neither side wanted to lose them, but in 1916 or 1917 there was a naval battle between britain and germany, there were no more naval battles with those ships afterwards.
sadly 90% ppl spawn camp BB and CV, making skirmish & atoll pain. (dreadnought not rlly cuz some ppl like torps.) best thing about DA rn is probably tianemen square'ing people in atoll with the infantrh vehicles :)
This video was made 2 years ago so before Centaura got released and before creator of DA/Centaura decided to change lore of it by actually saying that Antares conquered every country on their continent (Centaura)
atoll was the best! they had tanks n shit you could drive, and i fucking love centaura, dont get me wrong but... it isnt a replacement for atoll. atoll had everything! everything! atoll was the best of both worlds@@blueroblox4939

Since you have to count on your teamates in the air, teamates in the sea, teamates in tanks and cars, it sucks that atoll was removed since it was really fun, but hey, at least we got that new map in airship assault, but i really hope one day someone makes a full combined arms game (airship assualt is kinda like that but its mostly missing the boats and the tanks, only like 2 maps have tanks and only one map has a boat)
