Hopefully we will be back sooner than later. Last year the ranges closed and we didn’t have a place to shoot! I built a range but then caught covid so ended recording for the end of summer. Once all that was clear we couldn’t get a range day booked where it could be just us so we didn’t have people shooting in the back ground. Then fall and winter is my busy season so we put it off till late winter early spring and two ice storms came in and dropped trees everywhere. Hurt my back at work at the end of winter so couldn’t clear the range till a few weeks ago. So not that we were not trying do videos but was just one thing after another. Now we are waiting on ammo prices since we do all of this out of pocket just to give some data to the public and we have fun on the range. We have a bunch of stuff to meter so we pray that we can get everything to line up and get back to it.
@SuppressedNation yeah it's an awesome place. I typically try to get out there at least twice a week. Was going to go yesterday but it was excruciatingly hot!
@@mr.excitement689 Im still waiting on my Wolfman, its been 9 months so far. Its going on 4 guns (two 300blk, one 5.56, and 9mm subgun primarily), so I bought 4 key micro brakes and the keymo adapter. They are all ready to go as soon as the suppressor arrives. It can get pricey though, I was already on the fence about buying a suppressor, come to find out you have to spend hundreds more on covers and attachments lol. Not a big deal though, Im just itching to get my hands on it! Ive also stocked up on subsonic 9mm 147gr from freedom munitions' and been shooting a bunch of that over the last few months and its super inexpensive plus I like the sound signature and recoil better than supersonic 9mm. Subsonic 300 blackout on the other hand can get expensive real quick.
My LGS ordered one of the 9mm Wolfman's today, so begins the waiting game of 'x' amount of months til I can test it out myself. To be used on a MKE Z5RS.
It's easily the best multi-calibre size-adjustable can out there. It even approaches "best in class" for multiple calibers. The only issue I can see is the width which basically requires an RMR for pistol use.
Tom Lev deadair is a solid company with great products. If you ever have a chance to meet them in person do so! They are a great group of guys. Thanks for watching Tom!!-Chris
I’m so thrilled to see this - thanks for putting this together. Waiting on my Wolfman! So to clarify... -The keymicro adapter will accept the old Keymo muzzle devices for supersonic 5.56 application? Or do you HAVE to use the keymicro brake? EDIT: Found the answer on the website - Supersonic rifle MUST be done with the keymicro brake in conjunction with the keymicro adapter. -Is there a barrel length restriction for rifle supers? And can it be run in the short configuration with rifle supers?
We’re going change that up a bit now that the KeyMicro is released. On SBRs and higher firing schedules, use the brake. Limit the use of the flash hider to lighter use. It’s good for users to know that a flash hider focuses the blast to a degree on the blast baffle and can increase erosion if mag dumping or rolling with sustained rapid fire. That’s when a brake will add considerable life to the suppressor. Expect a more official update to website soon on this.
@@toddmagee6722 Hi Todd, I'm curious, how is it that one would get a job with your company? Are there any entry level positions for a hard working man looking to change industries? Either way, thank you for creating great products that give me another reason to keep working hard. I will own a Wolfman eventually.
I'm waiting on mine but I have bought my direct thread adapters and just a week ago I got my key micro adapter and brake. So I'll be ready when the atf decides to hurry and finish my paperwork!! But I get to go out with my FFL and try it out if it will ever stop snowing!! Note to Deadair. We really need 5/8×24 key micro brakes asap !!
T Bundy sounds like you are ready lol nothing beats a dealer that lets you visit!! Should be about two more weeks and we should see 5/8 hitting the shelves of our dealers- thanks for watching -Chris
I have an older AAC Tirant-9 that is showing its age. Im thinking of ordering this can to take its place. Hoping its just as, if not more quiet than the Tirant.
This is a can that can be ran on a bunch of applications but I liked it best on subguns. If your running it on a pistol I’d look at others. Not saying it won’t do good but I would prefer a pistol dedicated can.
@@SuppressedNation Thanks man I appreciate the feedback. I have a Q Thunder Chicken for my 300 BO and .308 DD5 V4. Then I have the Tirant for my MP5 and pistols. I guess I have to decide on whether I want a can that’s dedicated and will do great at one thing, or a can that’s versatile and does OK at most things. Is that kind of where you’d place the Wolfman?
If you don’t need a big bore can and want a do it all suppressor I’m telling you the wolfman is mighty impressive. Plus gives you the long and k in one package! Thanks for watching!-Chris
Well, I'm completely sold on the Wolfman! Good gravy, that thing's quiet! What accoutrements would I need to run one on a CZ Scorpion EVO and an AR pattern firearm in .300BLK?
@@SuppressedNation Terrific, thanks! I didn't know if it would be that easy, or if I would need any sort of additional springs or buffers. I'm very new to the suppressor game. I *will* need that stuff if I want to use this can on a pistol, won't I?
That’s the mask. Tim is set up at a machine gunshoot doing a demo and as we were recording he came over to shoot so we just got video of it . They do shoots all over with different dealers as host. So depending on your location you can get out and test them all on a wide selection of host
It did pretty good on 556. Had a higher pitch to it than the sandman S but overall was a good suppressor that sounded amazing on subguns but handled its own on 556. Hopefully next time we shoot it will be with Hansohn Brothers on the Pulse meter!
I still am a bit confused on running a wolfman using a full length dead air keymo brake, as i have heard it go back and forth on if it will fit inside the wolfman, and if its rated to run. Twice on this video Tim mentioned you can do it, such as 2:20-2:30 mark. That is encouraging, as i would like to use my existing sandman length muzzle devices if i can.
Ryan Montgomery I have sent a text to the designer and will either get an answer or see if he will post it on here for clarity. Thanks for watching and hope we can clear everything up!- Chris
Hi Ryan. Kudos to Tim for being far better looking than I am on camera, but I'm afraid he was misinformed on this (my fault). The large brake is just too long to fit within our "small socket" suppressors (Wolfman, Wolf-9SD, Ghost-M). It was my intent to have it work out that way, but it compromised the optimized design of the Wolfman to have to build around it. The rifle flash hider will work fine, however. We'll be officially instructing the use the Micro Brake for SBRs or high volume shooting.
Hold up… I just bought a wolfman 9mm for my scorpion. So, this can can be used on my AR’s, AK’s and my pistols? Sorry for the dumb question. This my first suppressor and know very little knowledge on them. Great video bud!
So do I need an adapter for my Ar’s or AK’s? Also, how well does just regular Ammo shoot out of these cans? I have TONS of those calibers. I’ll definitely be using subsonic when hunting though. Thanks for all of your help bud! I love your channel🙏🏼
@@palumbo78 no offense guy, but I reckon you should do some research. should have done that research before you dropped $1100+... nonetheless you own it now and for your safety and much more, again, you should do some research instead of asking questions in an RU-vid comment section. good luck, bud 👍
@@DEATH_TO_TYRANTS lol…. Why did you feel the need to even respond man? I purposely purchased this for a scorpion like I said from the beginning. I also have other can designated just for those firearms. What’s it to you how I spend my money?
@@palumbo78 I don’t, it was more a judge of character. An unfair judge of character, admittedly. If I had only read your comment I wouldn’t have said anything to you. It doesn’t make it right, but I got a little bewildered by how many people who already own the can or are ready to purchase it are here asking questions instead of going to the source directly. But that’s just how I see it. Then I went and talked sideways at you due to said bewilderment in a moment of weakness. My apologies. If you’ve got your can out of fed prison yet, I hope you’re enjoying it, truly. Must have been a nice surprise to find out just how capable this awesome can is. Stay safe palumbo. Most importantly, stay free ✌️
Awesome video, I’ve watched it a bunch of times. I just got my wolfman out of jail and bought the keymicro for use on a dead air flash hider on my AR. I’m not able to tighten the thing all the way and there is enough wobble to let me know that shooting it is a definite no. Is the keymicro itself the issue, or is the wolfman not compatible with the full length flash hider?
Todd has asked for questions to be directed to him. If you’re on Instagram dm him a mageever. He’s the engineer and can give you all answers directly relating to deadair!
I believe you can but go down a few comments to R. Powell and Todd answered a few of his questions. I believe they switched it to run the micro break with supers. I have not used the keymicro and at the time of the video it was coming. If he doesn’t answer your question in the other comment let me know and I’ll get Todd to clarify.
I don't believe you can use the full size brake with it. Better off with the micro brake or the jmac customs keymo brake (middle size between micro brake and full size)
compositetiger good question if he had wipes he didn’t use them while we was there. The wolf man on the mp5 was so quiet I don’t even see a need for one to add back pressure . Wipes in my experience are bet used with bolt action so you don’t get increased ear noise - Chris
How “light” is the “light rifle use” that dead air has rated this can for? I don’t have any full auto or belt felt weapons but I don’t want to have any mishaps on my 10.3 inch 5.56 that I plan to use this suppressor on
Ty Morgan Todd says light duty would be no more than two or three mags back to back with a semi auto! So not so light duty for the average user😉 he said your 10.3 will be fine but if you want something to burn and not worry about what it will handle go with a sandman series.
Suppressed Nation thanks for the quick reply! I don’t intend to do any burn downs with the wolfman on the rifle or torture test it but just making sure if I ever ran a pistol/rifle course that it would be able to hold up. I’m planning on getting a nomad shortly but I recently got the wolfman and wanted to make sure I didn’t make a mistake. So what you’re saying is that it should be able to handle my moderate training/plinking but don’t do 2-3 mag dumps back to back
Ty Morgan no it should be fine with rapid fire up to around 3 mags. But nothing crazy like you see people glowing their cans red. If you want to run it that hard go with the sandman series per Todd and Tim at Dead Air.
Russell Denney with me shooting with both eyes opened or at least learning to on pistols the size of the can doesn’t bother me if it does interfere with the sites. My standard site guns I shoot with cans that block them and I still shoot fine. Just a learning curve. One cool thing about the Odessa was normal sites worked fine since the tube is just over 1”
Russell Denney I went ahead and got it and will probably use it more on my Sp5 and also purchased the CGS Mod 9FS which will probably be more for my handguns
ravissary79 if you want a rifle can get a nomad. Hard use go Sandman S if you want to stick with deadair. The Wolfman is a subgun can that can be used for other applications but won’t be the best. I prefer to get suppressors aimed at what I will use it for rather than a one size fit all that doesn’t perform great on any. Jmo
@@SuppressedNation I'm trying to find a multi-use 9mm can for 350 legend and 308 and 300 blk. It needs to be 308 rated for when the 8.6 blackout comes out. But then, that might not have nearly the blast as a short 308. The case volume will be cut by 1/4, so maybe it'll work out just fine. Obviously with subs it's not an issue, but with supers on a 12.5" it's a toss up. I like the wolfman as it's even 9x39 rated (diameter) nice if I ever try that out (too wide for most 9mm cans). A 10mm can might be nice, but they're just not plentiful or versatile, but only the wolfman has that 2 tier construction with allowance for a wipe to really make the 8.6 movie quiet (likely won't use it, but cool feature). The going alternative that makes sense is the hybrid 46, so I can go as high as 45 raptor, or 375 raptor, for a big brother large frame 300 blk type upgrade. But the wolfman has more features and seems to be quieter by reputation. Both have allowances for QD, both are medium weight and reasonably affordable and have endcaps to make the sound better per caliber so a 1 can solution makes sense. I'm not made of money ;)
ravissary79 have you talked with or checked out Steve of Rex Silentium? He can make you a custom bore that you can make work with everything you want. Plus he does them at a good price and his can have always performed very well.
You asking why is he shooting 5 rounds? It’s a demo shoot that we were invited to so they kept the mags loaded 5 each because of the cost of ammo. Be expensive to have 100s of people shoot full mags.
@@SuppressedNation no, thats not what I’m asking. He says he has five rounds loaded and shoots around 10. It was amusing because he clearly didn’t know how many rounds were loaded showing his lack of safety around firearms. I bet he’s shot himself at least once in his life.
