Glad to see you reacting to DBD Lore again! One small correction I will say is that Max Thompson Sr didn’t name Billy, Max Jr. The Thompsons didn’t actually give Billy a name at all, they just called him Boy. After Billy escaped and killed his parents, he named himself Max Thompson Jr. Of course, the fanbase also affectionately calls him Billy ☺️
Didn’t even give him a name. His parents really sucked and I guess giving him a name would humanize him but not sure it would matter to those monsters 😡
One thing that I think was missed in this video, was that it was a lot more of a struggle for Hillbilly to escape than it seemed. The hunting dogs tore open his legs, thats why he has a limp, and he got shot several times by the police chief. Love your reactions as always! Would highly recommend checking out the Spirit or the Clown, one tragic and one very sick backstory
Surprised the video asks why he ripped out his Mother's eyes even though it's kind of told to you in the tome "She stares upwards with blue vacant eyes. Beautiful blue vacant eyes. Eyes that only saw a monster, a thing, a beast of burden to work the farm. Never a son. Never her son. He hates those eyes. Those...those... hateful eyes. He rips them out and squeezes." - Direct quote from his Tome lore
I really like the Hillbilly, his lore is one of the best among the original killers. It really does make you wonder how much different his entire life could have been if at least one person showed kindness to him. I do think that this was a kinda satisfying revenge story. Billy was pretty much a baby and yet his parents already hated him and decided to abuse him. They deserve no sympathy.
Glad you two are getting into the lore of the game. Billy is kinda a sad case cause I feel if his circumstances weren’t as bad as they were, the entity would’ve never took him. I get he’s a fictional character but the lore makes you feel for him cause everything was against him and above all if his parents just treated him with basic human decency, his fall and his murderous spree could’ve been prevented. We have a lot of pure evil figures in the entity’s realm but a part of me still feel that there may be some good in him even if just a tiny bit… 😢
If you think Hillbilly is bad, Wraith literally did nothing notably wrong (with the exception of his uhh...car crushing incidents, which in his defense he literally did not know what he was doing, so he can be given SOME leeway) from the day he was born to the day he got nabbed by the entity, and he just had a shitty life overall. I mean, the man endures a civil war (allegedly, its never specified which country or incident he was involved in), only to FINALLY leave to find work in another country, FINALLY gaining a sense of normality and peace, only to find out he's been used as an executioner, flip out over it (naturally), and kill the evil sadist that had him do it. What is he rewarded with for his troubles? He gets to be a stealth killer who doesnt even enjoy his work (why would he?), and has to give the survivors heart attacks every time he shows up.
Man, I wonder how you guys would like the Huntress and Wraith? Those two are my favorite killers in the game, well, them, Dredge and Legion of course, my God these killers are fun.
I see yall are disgusted by it, but playing DBD and knowing what the characters went through, I’m not even disgusted or phased. It’s just messed up and I expect all the other characters are like that
"He had it coming! He had it coming! He only had himself to blame! If you'd have been there, if you'd have seen it, you know that you would've done the same!"
Good video & best reactions! This is very sad to me, when I recognize It's reality for some people. Reactions could be interesting on The Huntress Lore...
Dbd lore is sometimes confusing but its ok most of the killer lores are just sad and would be curious on how game theorys theroy on it Also im curious on yalls reaction to The texas chai saw massacre game executions
Very good video! I'm glad you guys are getting into the lore of DBD, and I love Hillbilly's character, poor guy could have been a great mechanic as suggested by his perk Tinkerer, but his parents saw no potential in him. If you want to go into the overarching lore of the game, i heavily suggest watching the video on the Entity itself by Pixel Bush, his latest video. It goes in depth on the hows and whys of dead by daylight and gives an insight to what the future of the game would be
To add to this, his parents were VERY closely related to each other (I believe brother and sister), which also may be why they didn't want him, as they knew where he came from.
have you done dbd killer lore before? I cant recall? all the first 6 or so are amazing! and if you find videos you should definitely check them out! even do a couple in a video if they are short enough.
"It all begins in coldwind farm" corn blindnes flashbacks intensifies.anyway dbd was fun im a texas chainsaw player now lol. Maining sonny, you should try the game you can legit solo the game because theres like sobmanyvways out if you learn it, its better than holing r1 on a gen tbh.last thing ill say because im rattling (ive bought every dlc killer in dbd) you should try texas chainsaw massacre game its genuinely fun and you always have to change your syrategy to escape or kill the survivors.
