I'm nicknaming him The Anomaly, personally. I mean, The Unknown is also an unsettling name, but he's definitely inspired by surrealist horror, namely Observation Duty. He's one of the scariest creatures in the Realm, if not the actual scariest. Got the twisted appendeges, the blank eyes, the chilling smile. It's almost like something eldritch poorly tried to wear someone as a human suit. I know The Dredge is a manifestation of sin and Michael is driven by instinct to kill, but this thing's official name says it all; we don't know just what it is. A creation of The Entity? An alien? Just some manifestation of insanity? The lore just says that Olivia is just trying to figure it out.
I wouldn't be surprised if Observation Duty was a direct inspiration for it, they already had an analog horror vibe in the announcement trailer, and with all the teasers being a sort of ARG, it's kinda like it's an homage to internet/analog horror in general
It's certainly not a creation of the Entity. The sounds Olivia heard were the Unknown struggling against the Entity as it took it into the Trials. It seems to be a thing born from belief of folktales, like the belief that the Slenderman garnered a decade ago, or the Dredge in lore. It just is, and it just eats.
I think the chase music is a bit underwhelming.... it should be a bit more scarier than layer 3, it's just like old ghostface chase music Terror radius is fire tho
What? It's nothing like old GF music. That was just pots and pans. This sounds like the thing is breathing down your neck, while the percussion bounces around your headphones, imitating this thing's freaky movements.

@@vNOTAvTbh the first layer is a banger, second one looks like a frog but its fine, it builds up well with third, but chase just ain’t good bro, doesn’t fit the character, its repetitive and not in the repetitive doctor way cuz his chase sound nice, the unknown just sounds like a bunch of noise mixed up, plus my comment was just a silly joke 🎀
We lost the cool tapping sound in the chase part. Another pointless change that just makes it sound worse in the live version. Sad watching them butcher cool sounding stuff. Oh well
